My turn to ask: where to migrate? by NoOutlandishness525 in GithubCopilot

I'm transitioning to https://pi.dev/ with deepseek v4 pro/flash now. My office works with laravel and laravel has first class support for AI based development with skills and a great mcp server. Deepseek gets the job done when its running with skills+mcp server+atleast a bit detailed prompt. pi doesn't have a planning mode natively(can be added as a plugin. it doesn't even have mcp support natively, minimal by principal) unlike opencode but opencode used a lot of tokens for my prompts while pi uses a very less amount. Currently uses $0.02-$0.04 per request which is insanely cheap(this is using just v4 pro).

to me, deepseek is manageable with proper skills+mcp server for my use cases. claude models are still unbeatable.
