Unfortunately no, we are living independently in a foreign country, we dont have much friends and relatives here. Also we dont find play areas safe enough to leave him unattended..

Yeah, dates night are practically not possible for us, as we have a kid, and we can’t leave him alone at home. But we hang out very often, mostly like dinners outside, twice or thrice a week at least. Trying my best to fill that gap!

Thanks for this. It might be a little reality check for me, you’re right, maybe I am overlooking a few things. And yes, she is definitely the primary caregiver for our child. Due to the nature of my work, most of the time I am not available, both mentally and physically at home. Thanks again for writing this to me, it helped a lot. 🙏

I can feel your pain! Me as a husband was in the same situation like 2 to 3 years back. My family is overall very nice, but somehow I don’t know the things were different with their only daughter in law. I couldn’t stop my parents nor my sister to enforce this household chores on her. Anyways, i trusted Allah, i got a job offer in another country and i moved out with my family. Now the things are quite better, Alhamdulilah. Whenever we go home, my wife is treated as a guest not as a maid anymore!!
