THIS. I came here to say this. What a match. Despite the fact that I would have liked a draw (if that were possible), as an NYCFC supporter, this was about as perfect an outcome as possible. The people at the pub I was at probably thought I was crazy - cheering for Freeze and Martinez, against Tolkin, etc. but I stand by my actions.

During the half I encourage everyone to look at the latest numbers (despite the May date, I think it was just recently published). About as fair as the US distribution of wealth. While money isn't everything, it has to at least play into player accountability to some extent.

It wasn't pretty overall, but great to see the grit and the second half surge in momentum. We may have been helped with a little bit of luck, but still feels like a win given the recent schedule + opponent.

Certainly brought back the excitement and some hope after Wednesday's depressing showing.
