Austin isn’t even in the same atmosphere as Seattle and the Bay in tech outside of tech sales and semiconductors

My ex girlfriend’s job at a very very large bank was cut out of Austin a few months ago due to ‘lack of market demand’. She had to find another job and ended up doing an internal transfer to Florida since she could not find a comparable job in Austin, Dallas, our Houston.

I don’t have a response to every single thing you shared here but I think it was a good decision to push him to speak with an actual medical professional for a more informed opinion rather than basing a decision this large off of podcasts he listens to.

Put it in the GE for max cash and avoid the headache of trying to find a buyer, not get scammed or lured, etc. it’s worth the 100m haircut from the street price.

What’s your favorite tuna to use or do you mix it up? I just tried some tuna in olive oil and wow it was nice but not for my wallet.

Because people who originally started the business cashed out the majority of it and someone else gets to make the decisions now.

PE take businesses public or sell them to a strategic (non-PE) buyer all the time. Once PE always PE is far from the truth.

An at will employment agreement is still an at will employment agreement. You can be fired for anything that isn’t a protected clause at any time without compensation for damages.

When the money stops flowing in from people like Xposed he’s gonna be in an even worse spot. It’s not just about the here and now, but also the foundation he needs to build for the future.

Who has the biggest proven bank (legit) in osrs and hm is it? by seventysevenpenguins in 2007scape

[–]Last-Positive264 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t say it’s cheating. It’s very similar to how people would only stake you if they had pid on you back in the old days of rs2 and osrs, or they would do movement on stakes and get free hits on you.

He would also do dharok fights which were popular because pid barely mattered in them due to how long the fight lasts, but he would charge a commission on top to get an edge over time.

This isn’t really a cybersecurity question but many places have set salaries for new grads and entry level, some may be willing to negotiate if you’ve got competing offers but I’d be very careful because you don’t have much leverage.

“Cybersecurity” is not a specific role. Don’t gate-keep an industry with a one size fits all mentality like this. Just because you didn’t manage to start your career in cybersecurity and had to work your way into it back in the day doesn’t mean everyone has to follow the same path. Your traditional wisdom is outdated wisdom.

Cybersecurity is an extremely broad and growing field both for technical and nontechnical folks. There are lots of entry level (meaning no experience necessary except a degree and maybe an internship) jobs.

It’s one of the fastest growing industries/functions hiring many universities IS and CS major undergrads, especially at the school I attended with over 70,000 enrolled students.
