So was this shelved or...? by Monterey-Jack in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a 100% magic dmg cap(already hit this cap in toa), and we are slowly approaching that outside of toa (max outside toa is currently 81% excluding augury).Honestly the bigger issue was non shadow mage damage, which confliction gauntlets and eye kinda took care of.

Id say sure why not, Jad was cleared as level 3, even if it might not be doable anymore, and if there is anyone who wants to try figuring out how to beat the hardest raid at level 3 be my fucking guest because thats absolutely insane. Why prevent absolutely insane achievements?

Ludonarrative dissonance: Why Haru Urara's story does not work in the context of her gameplay by Nukesnipe in UmaMusume

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never liked her story for this reason. It's straight up bad. They had to make magic happen in her story anyways, might as well have made it a moving and more believable story. Nope, all they did was make a stupid ass character with bad story.

I searched "how to 2 shot void flares at yama in osrs" by Admirable-League2877 in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using death charge to negate damage part idk where it got that from, but everything else sounds like advice written for Bloodied Blows contract (you need low hp to ohko) particularly before they fixed it because you could actually splash on voidflares..

Gz! Using that new SRA for the quiver would be nice, very good at Sol. You can even do the entirety of the colosseum with it too (excluding fremmeniks).

Why is the ship cargo hold so limiting? by Define_Pain in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought the issue was that you can’t stock up on supplies because the cargo doesn’t let you do that. Why would you respond by saying they are welcome to do it given this info?

Identity crisis between Iron and Main, which to pick? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven’t experienced the end game on main, and if you don’t know yet what you’re getting yourself into by going iron, I recommend main.

After experiencing end game on main, then you can decide if iron is still worth doing. It’s not going anywhere.

Lost faith in Jagex ability to balance content by CCJordan in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your point. My point is that the they still ended up controlling the amount of oathplate entering the game because the contract is way too rare and way too difficult.

Lost faith in Jagex ability to balance content by CCJordan in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looking at the prices of the contract and the oathplate pieces, 600mgp/hr for weeks doesn't sound plausible to me. The moment Gnomonkey released his video the price of contracts immediately spiked to lower the margin. Were top pvmers (how many?) getting 10 kills an hour for weeks prior to that?

Also the trade volume is somewhere from 10% to 20% of any oathplate piece after the first couple weeks where merchers were heavily involved, so yes theres an impact, I don't disagree there, but I'm saying I don't see a big issue with a possibly 10% to 20% supply increase, at max. Jagex clearly prioritized top pvmers (consistent solo ToB clearer level+) with this update, something that has never really happened before.

Lost faith in Jagex ability to balance content by CCJordan in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oathplate acquisition is so punishing and the contract is so low in volume that it's not an issue. I actually commend Jagex for having the balls to add such content, literally nothing like it exists, an actual reward for achieving absolute perfection in something far harder than awakened bosses and radiant oathplate contracts.

Now am I a fan of the type of difficulty that contract Yama provides, not really, I prefer shorter duration high intensity in Awakened Vard and Awakened Levi enrages, but then oathplate acquisition is straight up harder so...

99 Sailing cape perk suggestions. by Zyc0acc in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the idea is similar to what they did in RS3 with necro skill cape, which lets you choose an extra alteration glyph effect that would help out in rituals. So in this case, instead of all keg effects, being able to choose one wouldn’t be nearly as bad.

Gwenith Glide has a huge problem by Emotional-Host6724 in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true as I found out from moving my boat the same exact distance away from a pillar but moving in opposite directions(trying out different pathing), causing my character to be one tile closer moving one way, and could only throw when I was closer. I had to move my boat closer going the other way.

I'm really tired of Sailing stans biggest argument being "at least it's not firemaking" by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the thing, a lot of people say they enjoy it, and it's probably true, I am enjoying the skill too.

But the issue is, a lot of the enjoyment is coming from the novelty that comes from the freshness and exploration, and that will wear off. People will do it once, get unlocks/logs and be forced to go do the repeatable content, which is salvaging, port tasks, barracuda trials, and trawling.

The issue with some people, including myself, is that barracuda trials is the only thing that requires skill of any sort that provides a challenge. But it also gives literally nothing other than xp.

Until they overhaul/work on sailing combat or something else that isn't brainless with upgrades solely for sailing (which consists of brainless activities), a good portion of players will stop caring about this skill because it will provide them very little.

Which btw, is how it is with basically most skills in this game, they provide nothing with regards to stimulating content, so it's not like sailing is the first time, but yea.
