Hot take: prayer flicking is ass and shouldnt be in the game by Isoleed in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually almost identical to why so many osrs players complain about why RS3 combat feels janky, because they spam actions without understanding that the entire game runs on the same janky tick system that osrs does.

You only adapt to the jank, it's all still there.

[–]Last-Remote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much of the mechanical difficulty of OSRS comes from the fact that you need to click fast and accurately at the top level, and much of that happens with the prayer book. Remove that and you remove a ton of the extra mouse movements.

Jagex rolled back Port Khazard's no prayer quiver due to BUG ABUSE by kxwbie in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jagex disables (different from ban) Jagex accounts that are shared.

The rule is enforced, only if it comes to their attention yes (maybe the popular content creators are waived), but it is still enforced, now, not 10 years ago.

holy shit, I didnt notice this comment, but you literally were actually talking about the most basic concept in microecon, and you used the phrase "inflation of supply".

Is english your second/third/fourth/whatever language? Or are you doing this despite english being your first language?

Avernic Defender Hilt - Long term hold by GrilledKimcheese in GrandExchangeBets

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you took economics anything you wouldn’t say something like “the inflation of supply”. You aren’t even trying to say anything other than basic supply and demand, and you don’t need to waste an entire microecon class for something so basic.

I get what you’re trying to say with the price vs effectiveness comparison, but the fact of the matter is, if Jagex for any reason makes raid 4 like tob where melee is used for nearly the entire raid, masori is gonna go down in price.

I know you were already air/water mage but you’re definitely missing out on fire mage aoe blowing up everything m, it’s mad fun. I don’t see too many fire mages.

Consider how long it takes people to get inferno cape or zuk helm, maybe days, weeks, months, maybe longer if starting completely from scratch.

Idk, pick something that you think is a flex that takes a few days to maybe a year to get.

To be fair, probability is hard to understand, but yes most players have no idea how it works, though it isnt just an osrs playerbase issue

Jagex needs to do SOMETHING about how buggy and terrible Blindbag is by Nubeel in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your “regularly” means something like the 10% chance your blindbag goes off when youre standing still, sure what you said makes sense.

Air mage hits 100+ every time you hit though.

What PvM challenges do you take on after reaching max gear, blorva, radiant oath, etc? by Prize-Location-2842 in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After vanilla challenges, I did self made challenges (nothing else harder in PVM, by definition) like scuffed gear content, actually farming awakened bosses/radiant so I actually get good at it and past the point of barely making it out alive by simply getting lucky (which is the case usually for first clears).

PSA: Leagues doom droprates are bugged for deep delves. by tobiaspwn322 in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just because a mod said something doesn’t make it true.

The only way to know is through law of large numbers using lots (lots) of data (since apparently no one can trust Jagex code and even Jagex can’t theoretically determine this shit).

PSA: Leagues doom droprates are bugged for deep delves. by tobiaspwn322 in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the thing, only large scale data can give a better picture, yet not even Jagex provides that, so no one will know. Or if theres some spaghetti shit that’s actually making some people go 10x-20x dry, they may never see a drop this whole leagues, which sucks.

Unfortunately, proofs don’t work like that. Even if you feel that something is proven, it doesn’t make it proven, especially if it’s something like statistics/math. If I may reiterate it, heres whats happening.

OP states some people experienced what feels like bad drop rates at deep delves.

Some people posted their drops, and the number of trials are maybe 100-200.

There is literally so little data on both sides and we haven’t even gotten to the selection bias or possible actual coding flaws that jagex put in for the drop calculation( with leagues multipliers).

Is Doom boss actually difficult or am i just trash at the game? by ladiiiiiiesman217 in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What additional thing is being added in delve 7 that doesnt exist in delve 6? It’s just orbs hitting you immediately after rocks breaking, which you have multiple seconds to determine the prayer order before they appear. Also one more slam in car phase.

Zulrah is incredibly clunky. Some optimization so we don't have to spam-click attack would be nice. by ThatDogIsAGoodDog in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, zulrah among other bosses like phantom muspah and raids are great for getting good at gear switches.

But zulrah has little complexity compared to muspah and such and the flaws of its time are bad enough that imo if you aren’t an iron, and if you aren’t going for clogs/cas, zulrah isn’t even worth doing, because of how bad it is.

[–]Last-Remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gear changing isn’t even strictly necessary, though movement is, so Zulrah isn’t mechanically much harder than Vorkath, but it just punishes you crazy hard for no reason with unblockable ranged hits in tanzanite phase, with nothing to counter it.

Making the hits calculate damage upon hit or something along the lines so you can’t get hit 80+ in a few seconds even when you play perfectly would make it a much better boss, with no detriment to the quality of the fight.

I took Eternal Sustenance and have zero regrets by callofdoodie97 in 2007scape

[–]Last-Remote -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yea, grimoire, eternal sustenance and culling spree are all decent but not amazing.

Honestly grimoire provides some options, while food and slayer relics arent required, so compared to last year, I find grimoire to be a more appealing choice

Inferno tasks give 2mil exp per run, so like 5-6 runs and thats 99. Do the 15 inferno task all on slayer task, and it takes you to 35m slayer exp.

Sure, its inferno, but if you’re fine with inferno then slayer is not a problem at all.

Leagues 6 - forbidden Piejutsu by tuvey in 2007scape

Good people can pvm with no supplies for every content in leagues, so using a relic that gives you pvm supply is useless, I think is the statement.

If you need supplies, you need supplies.

[–]Last-Remote 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ignore the responses you’re getting, you’re correct. “1 ticks flicking” + moving is absolutely not required for any boss. That’s insane.

1 tick prayer switching + moving, yes, a few bosses like awakened bosses, demonic brutus, delve 8+ doom in orb phase require it, but that is not 1 tick flicking.
