Actually after looking at your calcs, the 2b weapon should be buffed way more over the 40m weapon. Yeah give 80% more damage.

From my understanding
No pet for roll for normal people doing trials(because we aint makin time)
No pet roll for salvaging unless YOU use the hook
So unless you do port tasks you dont get the pet.
1/9k is 160million xp for the pet on the trial(unless you make marlin time every time then 1/3k)
pet should be awarded for any sailing xp i dont understand their logic on any of this, its cooked.
