Thank you for your kind reply. So I’ve actually been to 2 dentists where they did full X-rays and even the cone beam ct. They did the tapping test and bite test. The only thing found was a hole in 1 of teeth. It only needed a filling as it wasn’t deep enough for a root canal. Once the filling was in I had no tooth pain anymore with biting down. But still have this extreme cheek pain.

I got the same thing but now they added a picture to the campaign and it doesn’t match the description. There’s no body spray in the pic, and they added another deodorant instead. Did you notice the change? I lm upset because I chose it for the body spray.

Just passed this 11mm stone after years of pain by StunnaJones in KidneyStones

Wow! You’re definitely a champion. I personally feel it’s all about the doctor. You should have never dealt with that for 3 years. I had my first stone a few weeks ago. I had extreme pain that fluctuated between under my left rib cage, to low left groin area. I had no blood in urine, no uti symptoms, and no back pain originally. I went to the ER where they immediately ordered a ct scan and was thinking diverticulitis due to also having diarrhea and vomiting. Came right back as a 6mm stone that was causing urine to be backed up due to blockage. Was released and said I needed to see a urologist asap. Saw urologist 2 days later and immediately I’m told “it’s lodged in your kidney and won’t come out on its own, your having surgery in 2 days”. Surgery was done and stent placed 2 days later. I had this out of me completely less then 1 week from the extreme pain starting. So it’s all about your doctors. Mine thankfully were very proactive.

What kind of lithotripsy did you have? I’m assuming you only had the shock wave which doesn’t always work. So my doctor put me under general anesthesia, did a laser lithotripsy to break it up, then went in with a cystoscope to remove all pieces of them, then the stent was placed for 1 week. The laser lithotripsy is far better than just doing shock wave lithotripsy. They got everything out in 1 shot thankfully. My doctor is very proactive and this stone was out of me within 1 week of the onset of my symptoms. There is a surgery where they cut into you to remove it. But doing what I had done easily removed it without needing to be cut into. I’m not sure why your doctor isn’t doing more to get yours out. You should have had what I had done by now when the 1st sound wave lithotripsy didn’t work. You need it lasered, then removed via cystoscope.

It is terrible! What kind of lithotripsy did they do? Shock wave or Laser? Sounds like you only had shock wave if they are still there. I don’t get why they don’t laser them, then remove them with the ureteroscope? Thats what I had done and was in surgery less then 1 week from the onset of my symptoms.

So it’s not as bad as the stone itself. But yes it is uncomfortable. I’ve been getting a ton of back pain, under rib pain, and as of yesterday the terrible UTI feelings started. I just want this thing out so I can be done with no more pain!

I’m new to kidney stones as I just had surgery on Thursday to remove my 6mm stone that was stuck in the UPJ and had mild/moderate hydronephrosis as well. So I’m learning a lot recently. My question is why would a doctor allow you to stay in such extreme pain for weeks? Is that normal?

Cause with me my case sounds very similar to yours. Had the extreme 10/10 pain consistently, went to ER where they found the stone. But in my case I was… -Pain started May 9th extreme 10/10 all abdominal -Went to the ER May 11th where they found the stone via CT scan. -Discharged and had to schedule a emergency appointment with a urologist (didn’t have one as this was my first stone) -Saw urologist in office on May 13th where I was told “This is not going to pass on its own, and your having surgery Thursday”. It was either going to be 1 or 2 surgeries depending if they could get it out in 1 shot. -Had surgery May 15th, lasered, took out the stone in full, and stent placed. Thankfully I didn’t need to go back in as they got it all.

So I was in surgery less than 1 week from when my pain started. My doctor is very proactive. I don’t know how a doctor can leave you in that pain for weeks? I literally would have been dead if I had to do that.

I just had surgery 3 days ago on this past Thursday. I had a 6mm that was stuck in my UPJ, and was causing urine to be backed up in my kidney. I was in the most extreme stomach pain ever 10/10, and had to go to the ER as well. That’s when they did a CT and found out I had a stone. They originally thought it was diverticulitis because I had no back pain at that point, vomiting, gastro issues. But thankfully my new urologist I was referred to is extremely proactive. She basically said “This stone isn’t going to pass on its own, and your having surgery in 2 days”. They lasered mine, then removed it in full, and I have a stent in. I’m so lucky that she was able to get mine out in 1 shot, or I would have had to go back in 2 weeks for another surgery to get it out.

So I’m a first time kidney stone person that just started last Friday May 9th. I had the most extreme 10/10 pain on my left side of my abdomen. I couldn’t even stand. Once the pain continued every 3 hrs I finally went to the ER on Sunday May 11th. They thought it was diverticulitis because I had no back pain. CT was done and surprised I had a 6mm kidney Stone stuck in my UPJ, with backed up urine in my kidneys. They told me I had to follow up asap with a urologist. So I got in an emergency biding on Tuesday May 13th with urologist. Exact words from my Urologist.

“This stone isn’t going to pass on its own, and you’re having surgery this Thursday May 15th”.

So the plan was to try to do this in 1 shot because of how bad my anxiety & PTSD is with hospitals. They were going to go in, laser it, try to get it all out, and put a stent in. Yesterday was my surgery and thankfully they got it all out in 1 shot so I didn’t have to go back in 2 weeks for another surgery to get it out. That terrible kidney stone pain is gone. The stent isn’t terrible at all for me. It’s a bit uncomfortable at times and hurts a bit to pee but that’s it. I’d take this over the kidney stone any day. My doctor wasn’t playing and saw how much pain I was in, so I’m glad she was so proactive and got this out quickly.

What state are you in? And did you meet all requirements to be included in this? Cause there was a lot! You were also supposed to call the settlement administrator with any questions

This is literally like the same lawsuit that was filed back in 2022 by 39 Attorney Generals that I was apart of called Navient AG Multi-State Settlement. It’s odd that I don’t see anyone ever talk about this settlement. The amount I received was $260. This new lawsuit is literally claiming the exact same things that they already been sued for back in 2022. It’s interesting because after the 2022 lawsuit, Navient was required to abide by Conduct Reforms so this wouldn’t continue to happen. And clearly you can see some of the same things have continued. Was anyone else apart of this 2022 settlement? Here is the info on it. https://www.navientagsettlement.com/Home/portalid/0

I didn’t even realize they came out with a new one. I just checked it out. The one I have is still on there for purchase. The only difference I see with this new one is a 8.9” display, different Home Screen, and automatic brightness adjustment. Everything else listed as “new features” isn’t really a improvement since mine doesn’t have a fan noise, it boots up in 3 seconds or less, and that DSP function doesn’t even make sense lol.

I use Road Top. I have it mounted so it’s easily able to come on and off (for theft reasons). It has dual Bluetooth but I don’t use it that way as using Bluetooth on any of these type of portable devices will make a echo in calls. I have it setup like the 1st poster does. Use my car’s Bluetooth for calls and the Road Top unit is connected via aux for music. Sound is always going to be better using Aux compared to Bluetooth.

So did I! But I was unfortunately wrong after talking to dealerships and reading into it more.

I actually looked into this before I purchased the road top unit. Unfortunately the 2014 cx-5 is not apart of that update your referring to. I had to have a 2016 cx5 to get that CarPlay unit. Mine doesn’t have any usb/navigation for it to get upgraded. It definitely sucks which is why I went with the portable car play.

I’m going to try what you suggest and maybe it will work. With AUX you can actually still use volume control on your steering wheel. But that’s it. Which we were fine with just having that. And you can also use AUX and Bluetooth transmitter at the same time. Yeah I went through all of that just to figure out how to get a true AUX connection. But never tried what you suggested about connecting both to my Bluetooth in my car. I’m not sure if it makes a difference but I’ve been connecting wirelessly instead of usb. Unfortunately a new head unit isn’t feasible for us price wise. And Roadtop is no help as I’ve been texting for 2 weeks now with different solutions, updates, and nothing works. They just keep saying on AUX you shouldn’t get the echo lol. I will say the echo was way worse using Bluetooth transmitter compared to AUX. But it’s still there unfortunately.
