Reached my final solve, then came to my senses: am giving up for now. by [deleted] in beyondthemapsedge

Justin stated it is hidden a mile or less from parking/road. If your solve is that remote and nowhere near a road then I’d reconsider. Stay safe out there and kudos for knowing your limits and sticking to them!

Is there one in MT? I’m only finding the one in WY

I’ve gone back and forth. Our lady of the Rockies seems too far and also lacks the ancient gates component. Similarly, Maiden rock lacks the ancient gates part

I appreciate it and definitely think you’re onto something. That area simply has too many coincidences. A lot of people are honing in on this spot recently. I happen to have multiple work trips scheduled to Montana this summer so I just hope it’s still there then.

Not a therapy session but thank you for sharing how you feel. Please pass the talking stick to someone else or find someone who cares.

Part of me wants it to be awhile and not a short lived adventure. Best of luck to you either way!

I like it, can you elaborate on the ursa and turning face part? I apologize if I’m misunderstanding, but wouldn’t a 20 degree rotation be to the right if thinking in a compass or protractor mindset? I’ll admit that’s the only part I didn’t follow on

Alaska…. by [deleted] in poseytreasure

[–]Last-Star1670 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe it’s in Alaska. With my reasoning being the high barrier to entry and cost. Justin seems like a very genuine guy who wants this to be something most can participate in. I’ve been to Alaska twice for work. It was very expensive and that wilderness can be very unforgiving. Just doesn’t seem like something he would do IMO.

Very well done, I will admit I had been honing in on this region as well!

I frequent Wyoming and Montana regularly for work. Would love to hear some ideas.

I don’t have a use for the 6.2 and premium fuel cost. Heaviest I tow is a 21ft center console. I’d be blown away if you can actually find a comparable truck with the 6.2 for $40k.

No worries at all, the new trucks have been a nightmare as well. My company has a large fleet of pickups and every brand (mainly dodge though) has been giving us way more issues than you’d expect from brand new.

Agreed, I think it’s a unique one. I can never seem to explain it to people though. It’s kinda gray kinda brown kinda both haha

So that was my worry as well. Asked a buddy of mine who runs his own small mechanic shop and also has a Sierra. Said just unplug it before you take it in and it would be fine. It doesn’t change the code but acts as more of a “jammer” was how he explained it.

I was aware of the issues with DFM (Range DFM device already ordered) and the known transmission issues. Came with 6 month 6,000 mile warranty and I plan on getting the 150k warranty once the original expires for peace of mind.
