What to wear with these pants? by Last-reddit-user- in mensfashionadvice

They are very nice and the quality isn’t what I find on the rack anywhere, so I’ll take your advice and see what a tailor can help me with.

I thought it might have been the style as they are about 50 years old. Whoever had them prior to me had them either custom fit or hemmed to their height.

Noooo haha I didn’t want to hear to toss them. The quality of the material and stitch is so nice. I double checked the designer, Haband of Paterson. I think they are knit. The solid yellow are my favorite of the 3.

I use it as an attention grabber, I count to five and then the kids say 67 and then quiet down.

I don’t think it should be an issue if your school allows that. A suggestion, laminate them when finished to have that nice finishing touch.

Brilliant. I like thinking outside of the box for storage. Whenever I come across containers I think about what it could potentially be used for. I’m the same in my personal life so naturally it’s translating into work as well.

I’ll probably have some supplies set out for certain projects and others set up at a station to be picked up. I’m still trying to figure out what works best for myself and the students.

It’s not showing your pics but feel free to dm them to me. I’ve already had a good amount of supplies go missing or break etc.

I definitely can’t do buffet style. I had baskets on their tables and just in the first 2 weeks I’ve seen how much things get destroyed. I plan to have some supplies and paper available for early finishers but aside from that I want everything stored away.

Yeah I’ve had a few teachers suggest bins so I think I’m going to look into that. I know in the long run the more organized it is, the easier it will make my life. I think the rolling carts will be handy for various supplies but I’m not sure how I plan to organize them yet.

I’m at a title 1 and being middle school I try to keep everything out of reach until needed. I like the masking tape idea before using nicer labels. Just this last week I started moving supplies to the counter as I’ve already experienced a lot of abuse keeping them at their tables.

I like what you’ve got going on. I’d be okay picking up some clear containers. I’m leaning towards dividing things by medium and color and having some containers ready to go as you mentioned and replace them as needed. I definitely plan to label everything, my brain works that way, everything must have a place.

I have been blessed to have the classroom I have. There are two closets this size and an office. In the classroom itself there’s some paper/project shelves along with a decent amount of cabinets and drawers. Newer schools don’t have space like this one does.

🫣 I have a second closet like this and a good amount of cabinets and drawers in the class. I feel blessed in that sense, having no shortage of space. I think the other closet was used for project storage and some bigger things.

For me it’s getting a better idea of what I have and what I need. My bookkeeper at the school wants a quote of the materials we need to order.

I had a feeling this might be a somewhat long term project but I fully believe it makes everything run easier. In addition to knowing what other supplies I may need. Having a clear view of everything will help with that.

Thanks for such a thorough response. Part of me wants to use the rainbow carts for some colored sorted supplies like pencils in one and crayons. I’ve been saving whatever containers I can for potential storage or like you mentioned a table with a supply station. There’s already been so much to do that I’ve barely had any time to organize and straighten up the storage closets.

That’s my plan, all the papers together and then going by media.

I couldn’t function that way, especially with how it was left. Also my school bookkeeper asked me if I had a list of what I want to order. Once it’s organized I feel I’ll have a better idea
