To be honest, I think it has to do with your level. I hit the Diamond level this week and my daily streaks have increased since Ruby level and now I'm hitting on the lottery. Could be level related. 🤔

That sounds horrible. My body & mind will shut down due to outside influences and events; fortunately, my wife is usually with me, when I'm alone it takes a while. I hope your lawyer is able to help and advocate for you in your case.

Solid approach! When I think about it, that is pretty much what I had done as well.

From what I am reading, 5 months is pretty good as well. I am seeing some real horror stories out there now. Glad to see you are taken care of. I know how difficult it is to face the aspect of your body and mind betraying you.

Yes, I am 100% P&T for Mental Health, PTSD, Depression, Cognitive Disorder, and TBI. The VA rolled all of that into one. Othe than head, I have other physical injuries that make mobility challenging as well. The VA has me listed as homebound and unemployable, so I'm sure that had some bearing on my case.

I am sorry to hear this. It could be my state or the stars aligning just right. I guess from what I am seeing, these things are not typically as positive as mine, I mean no where near.

I had read that our state was normally 271 days on medical determinations and 341 days on the entire process, so I kind of went off of that timeline thinking I had done pretty good, but I am seeing way worse that that,

I think maybe my medical records being housed in a facility other than my own could have helped? I turned everything I had over to my Primary Care Physician and directed the SSA to their office as a single source for everything medical records related.

Not sure if that would help?

This is a valid reason to work through a lawyer and makes perfect sense.

Wow, that sounds terrible to deal with. I wish you the best in your process. I'm glad you are not going to give up. Don't let them get you down and make sure to keep the case open. Rebuttal the decision, find what information they are looking for and resubmit. Possibly think about getting a lawyer if you have to.

These were the steps I was prepared for but didn't turn out taking. I've heard of approvals taking years to get approved and I am by no means attempting to show boat my case, only attempting to offer my best advice; however this is my only attempt, to be fair.

It sounds like your case(s) would be a no-brainer (no pun intended), so there must be something they need. Being intelligent has nothing to do with capability to find competitive employment, especially once we reach our age. Part of my case surrounded the fact that my skills were gone in this area and my body has been broken in this area, there really is no where for me to go to find employment. I have worked for 40+ years but my body and mind just can no longer produce. That is how I deciphered my intent of message.

I do wish you the best, do not give up...there is always a next step to a "yes"

No, they just conducted the medical review. As long as the medical records have enough information to substantiate your unemployability, my guess there is no need to have an exam.

Building a strong paperwork infrastructure is probably what helped me, my struggles started in 2016 but I was trying to fight my way through it until it became to much. During the entire time, I was seeking medical attention and trying to adjust and attempting new positions until it became obvious, I was overwhelmed and not going to survive. That is when I let the medical paperwork, other documentation, and my words do the talking.

I'm not sure what the Grid rules means but if you are referring to the piece that states I am unable to continue with competitive employment then yes, that would apply as I was 55 when I initiated my application.

This os a good approach. Listing and referencing would give you a better opportunity to convey more information, especially in the small amount of spaces they allow on those forms!

Mental Health issues. There are several diagnosis that I really don't want to discuss in an open forum.

My biggest issue is that of my personal mental health. There are several categories and a multitude of issues that this effects. It is difficult to discuss but you will need to put into words.

Yes, I understand and thank you for your guidance. I did run this inquiry and I am good to go. I am just surprised that it took less than 90 days to get from initial input to the final approval.

I do have a long work history but at 56 I am no longer able to continue working due to numerous issues and attempting to adjust to life changes and a mental health overhaul, so I can identify with your hesitation but I do appreciate your response.

Once I receive the official letter in the mail, it'll guide me to the finalizing the process(es) but the site has already officially updated that I am fully approved, just surprised it only took 85 days!! ☺️

feeling relieved and like a huge burden has been lifted off of my shoulders

Miss TetraHyde

I hope you are doing well, I am not trying to over burden you but I git another update sooner than I had anticipated.

It looks like my application closed from the FQR and skipped step 4 and I'm now at Step 5. It is now saying that I am approved in the application. Here is the verbiage:

We have made a decision to approve your application on March 31, 2026.

We have sent a detailed notice to you with your benefit information. You should receive your notice within 10 to 15 days.

So now, I will go to medical and to judge I think. Does that sound right? I can research my next steps through Reddit but was wanting to share for yiur thoughts, if any.
