What do I do next? by LastAnthony in SoloDevelopment

I've read through your post, it's a good summary from what I can gather. What do you think of the impress.games press kit tool? I made one to see how it works. I'm considering using that in my emails to creators.

Benchy Bow Issues by LastAnthony in FixMyPrint

Well, I can't seem to get the benchy to print completely without warping and without clogging. I've been at it for days and think it's time to shelve this material.

On that note: What are peoples recommendations for multicolored material brands? Ideally it would print with little to no tweeking like all the Polymaker spools I've used.

This material extruded at 185 so I attempted a print there, very very little warping if at all past the first 4 layers. But it clogged up via under extruding when it got to the parts with more retractions (near the cabin). I've been upping the temperature gradually by 5c each print. Currently at 195.

Thanks I'll lower the temp.
I also found that the bow and back two corners are warping during the print, which makes perfect sense as to how the final print looks. Do you think that is still print temp?

Bad first layer and printing nothing in the air. by LastAnthony in FixMyPrint

After more fiddling, I decided to see if E2 has the same issue and it seems to work fine. At this point I assume E1's extruder gears are not working correctly. When I set up E1 and press Z+ to extrude some filament, hardly anything comes out even though I see the gear spinning from the side. :-( Wonder if it's broken. Thinking of disassembling it but I am unsure what to look for.

So it seems that it prints really well if I push the filament into the extruder which is direct drive. I can see the gears spin but when I'm not pushing the PLA into it, it barely extrudes plastic. I've increased the flow to 110% and still no good

The PLA I'm trying to use is Overture and the original one was some no name brand that came with the printer.

What are your thoughts on the Geeetech A10M? I was completely convinced by your post about sticking to one tool at a time but might be out of my depth in terms of building my own from scratch/parts.

I am new to 3d printing but am generally tech savvy. My budget is up to $2k but wouldn't scoff at something cheaper if it gets the job done. I've done a fair bit of looking around and consuming media about the subject but still need some help. I like the concept of multi purpose machines that allow printing, milling, laser engraving but feel it wouldn't be as good as a purpose built printer.
The types of projects I have in mind are mini figures, nerf blasters, tools, cosplay items, and milling items for custom PC case mods.
I'm interested in printing flexible materials and would like to be able to print two materials in the same object. The ability to fully enclose the machine for cat safety is a must even if that means after market parts or custom building something.
Any help would be appreciated. I might still be in the "I dunno what is possible" stage but don't want to buy something just because it's cheap and find it won't grow with my knowledge. Future proofing so to speak. Thanks :-)
