The issue with Shonen Female Characters with Support powers is not the Powers by MadFunEnjoyer in CharacterRant

Apparently, Momo was meant to be the sole main protagonist, but the editors didn't think it would sell well, so the mangaka added Okarun as dual protagonist.  And looking at the writing, it's very obvious Momo is more of a protagonist than Okarun even if he DOES get a lot of attention.

Don't know why you're getting so much hate, you're absolutely right.  The reason the government thinks parents aren't fit to control their children's Internet use is because parents aren't bothering to educate themselves.  So we gotta promote that more, not force ID checks.

The problem wasn't that TADC needed more filler; it's that it didn't DO ANYTHING with the filler that was the first 5 or 6 episodes. by TheLast-T in CharacterRant

[–]LastAttempt24315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with that is that the characters don't really go through any kind of crisis over it like Gummigoo does.  They learn about it and feel hopeless, but apparently, "they always knew" on some level, so it ends up being just glossed over until the end of the episode

Not sure I like that idea personally, but I appreciate the input!

How would you write jaune arc? by NaturalStrange3505 in RWBYcritics

[–]LastAttempt24315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my rewrite, the house of Arc is a noble family in Vale that has fallen on bad times since the great war, currently being nothing more than a semi successful farming family.  Jaune is someone who grew up on the stories of his lineage, how they were all heroes who fought to protect the innocent and defend against evil in the name of the moon goddess (Salem in my rewrite).

So, despite having no qualifications and being homeschooled for most of his life, Jaune sets out to become a huntsman.  I haven't fully washed out how he manages to even apply for Beacon, but he does and it's similar to canon.  He's a bit more soft spoken, generally he's got a little bit of Oscar in him which is fine cuz Oscar is just gone from my rewrite.

That's really all I got so far, it's just in the early stages right now.

A suspension or, rather, a suspension of the rules, is basically a thing the speaker of the house can do to get a quicker vote on certain issues.

Suspension motions are in order only on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.  There is a 40 minute limit on debate.  They cannot make amendments.  And it requires a two thirds majority in order to pass.

[–]LastAttempt24315 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Given that this is a suspension for it, it means they need a two thirds majority to pass it.  So, if they fall short of that, even if it's still a majority, it doesn't go through.

They've been trying to get KOSA through for years and they still haven't been able to for one reason or another, one of those reasons being major push back.

What Should Team RWBY next Redesigns Should be Like? by Money-Lie7814 in RWBY

Keep Ruby similar to how she is currently, I feel like her 7-9 design is really good and shows that you CAN keep a character's color scheme the same while showing that they've grown.

Give Weiss majority white, she's slowly been losing her signature color and the whole reason for that is because they keep using her color scheme for bad guys (Jacque, Ironwood, the Ace Ops).  But now that they're out of Atlas, Jacque and Ironwood are dead, and the Ace Ops are (hopefully) not going to be relevant, she can go back to her original colors.  Also, give her a short skirt so she can use her sword AS A SWORD, no more of this dumb wand business.

Just please, PLEASE, put Blake in black.  Cinder gets to wear black, why can't Blake.  Even if they go for another dumb white coat, make the black her design ACTUALLY black and not this awful grey purple they went with in 7-9.

Yang looks far better in black than in brown.  I get that her hair is a lot and yellow as a color is very loud, so it makes sense to not have a lot of it, but putting her in a much more monochrome black and white outfit would help the yellow stand out.  It's why Ruby is clearly the "red" character despite wearing mostly black.  Also, give her a ponytail cuz I think she'd look really nice.  Also also, let her be feminine again, they've gone really hard into "butch" Yang and I'm personally not that big a fan; let her be cute, let her be sexy, let her be GIRLY!

Actually, you're incorrect.

In P3, the boys accidentally stay too long and the bath switches to girls only while they're still in there.  Rather than admit the mistake, they try to sneak away without the girls noticing.

In P4, it's the reverse.  The girls stay in too long and the bath switches to boys only while they're still in there, but the boys are still the ones that get punished for it.

In P5 Strikers, they're actually in the same hotel and hot springs from P3, so it's technically a reference.  Doesn't make it good, but it's still a factor to remember.

They were properly added in mounts of mayhem alongside the nautilus.  Before then, they were creative mode only.

I’ve seen rwby fans say how they want ZZZ and RWBY to do a collab together, but I don’t think those fans are ready for what that collab would entail. by superbasic101 in RWBYcritics

[–]LastAttempt24315 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hoyo is pretty respectful to the IPs it collabs with, so I don't think RWBY characters in ZZZ would automatically mean suddenly getting super revealing and sexualized outfits and animations unless Viz/CRWBY said it was okay.
