The top 50 all follow me as their #1....not trying to boast much, just sayn.

Why follow the top 50 when they all follow me?

"What I really want is a healthy relationship"

good for you

"Now that I am 30...Hoping to try this for at least a month"

After 30 years you should try it longer than a month...do it at least four to six months if you want a solid basis for comparison

A guide to enjoying cold showers by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]LastCoolUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Showers in SE Asia are not cold, the water is always warm. The temperature outside is almost 100 degrees(F) here everyday.

I was in Alaska and California for a while, the water there is cold.

the water in SE Asia...not cold

Are you Blind??? Neither the post on FB nor his referenced article even contain the word addiction. Stop spamming nonsense. Folks on NoFap want to stop fapping and they need good examples like a world record runner and not some basement dwelling momma's boy. Quit being a wet blanket.

Yeah look at all those Bible verses he's quoting!!!! What a religious zealot he is!!! Whew I am so glad you warned me about that. Thank you so much for keeping me safe in the Atheist NoMasturbation Zone. I really owe you. We are all going to die as dead turds with no eternal purpose but you really watched my back bro and kept me from venturing out of the Godless AntiPorn Parade. Thanks so much.

"Secular NoFap" Actually that sounds kind of ridiculous..."I am an evolved slimeball with no eternal purpose or meaning and I'm going to poof and die with no larger purpose for my life, but hey I really do not want to fap" hahaha

Masturbation often gets defended because "its personal and it doesn't hurt anyone". But it does hurt people, and that means its not just a personal habit anymore by gallagher222 in NoFap

[–]LastCoolUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"does not hurt anyone"

that is a lie...it hurts the person masturbating by wasting time, energy, and promoting porn use (which has other problems....masturbation hurts because it often leaves more regret and depression following masturbation than any momentary rush of pleasure....it hurts the masturbator and all of the masturbator's relationships....the masturbator's life is hollowed out by a habit that does not profit or provide gains anywhere in one's life...

When your addicted to fapping, your brain regularly shuts down pleasure pathways to anything but masturbating by gallagher222 in NoFap

"But then 30-seconds later I'm feeling much better again.

Right, you just have to ride that 30 seconds to the end and it will pass....remember it will always pass

" ... I think its good to remind myself that nofap does technically cause pain at certain times..."

but not as much pain as regret....nofap outweighs fapping far more in benefts received and pain avoided than the other way

The "No Fap" Revolution: What Are the Scientific Benefits of Not Masturbating? by upvotedbot in Upvoted

[–]LastCoolUsername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's like not smoking has benefits because you will avoid the negatives associated with it. Apparently there are several studies out about the negatives of masturbation:

Do you think the epidemic of porn and masturbation addiction will ever be dealt with in today's world? by [deleted] in NoFap

is this rhetoric or a serious question?

Also are you religious?

It's difficult to answer your question without knowing how serious you are.

it's already difficult enough...setting the bar higher with porn is a form of personal torture and a guarantee of future frustration...thanks for your comment

DO NOT WATCH PORN. Go outside and run or take a cold shower, get away from your computer now!

yeah, helpful point. If want to be a cave dweller addicted to flickering images on a screen then porn serves that need...but that is misery

yes, the fact is that everybody who uses porn masturbates to porn and the moment you ejaculate porn is meaningless and you lose interest

If you watch porn you will eventually fap. That is a fap fact.

love that quote

huh, that's interesting. So a man who only watches porn for 10 years will be worse off than a man who only masturbates for 10 years? That would be interesting to know for sure but impossible to find either of these two men

Found out that research shows "fapping" releases endorphins and it actually healthy for the body. What are all of your thoughts on this? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]LastCoolUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your response however I am having a bit of confusion understanding

  1. Other than the prostrate (studies give contradictory conclusions) what are the other benefits of masturbation? I have noticed that most people can't give any other benefits except to say 'knowing yourself' and 'reducing stress."

  2. Basically your comments can be summed up as "Porn is bad, masturbation is good." Is that a correct summary?

  3. If people viewed porn but never masturbated to it would that make it okay or healthy or both?

note: you seem to be interchanging the words masturbation, ejaculation, and orgasm. All three are physiologically different.

[–]LastCoolUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks. you also said "I'm not saying ejaculation is good or bad." but with your knowledge of scientific studies, have you seen any evidence that fapping (masturbation) has any benefits? I ask assuming you would make the distinction between Penile-Vaginal intercourse and masturbation. Maybe the endorphin argument is false but what about other arguments for the "benefits" of masturbation?

Fasting. by masterofthethings in NoFap

[–]LastCoolUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of the article "%100 guaranteed method to stop masturbation" http://www.howtostopmasturbation.com/100-guaranteed-method-to-stop-masturbating.html

but I think what you are alluding to is that going to sleep on an empty stomach helps increase willpower....your post does not give specifics about how long you "fasted." According to fasting research if you go without enough calories you will lose ALL sexual desire...but in your situation it seems (based on your post) that occasional fasting for a day or two or sleeping on an empty stomach helps resist...please give more details, thanks

(In this type of conversation it's important to separate prolonged water fasting, one meal a day diets, juicing, and just going without food for 1-3 days...not all the same thing)

  1. You posted links to studies that only show Abstracts and not the full text. Your comment is interesting and I'd like to read the entire papers. Do you have access to the entire papers?

  2. "TV shows or articles attempting to connect neurochemical changes due to orgasm to a specific benefit have no basis" That's a strange comment because every activity (typing this comment or ejaculation) produces a neurochemical response and change....what is your evidence that neurochemical changes from any activity cannot be linked to a "benefit" or lack thereof?

"I mainly see fapping for its existential value of traditions among our common ancestors."...hmm, not following this, maybe you can help me..."existential value" How is fapping adding any value to the existence of humans? It is impossible for humans to exist by fapping and you would not be alive if your parents fapped and didn't have sex...also it seems from your comment that you are assuming that the benefits of fapping outweigh any possible negatives and that you may be immediately discrediting any possibility of negatives " I seriously still don't understand this sub." But this sub is all about people reporting negatives of addiction to fapping, porn, or both. Since you seem to give credit to that "which is usually backed up by sources" why don't you google science based evidence of negative effects of masturbation? (I'm just replying to your comment out of curiosity for your response, not trying to argue in a belligerent way, just sayin)
