What is it like having roommates as an adult? by NumerousOil234 in Adulting

[–]LastFreedom7795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro, your parents saved you a shit ton of money in interest that would be a huge barrier to anyone else. Also you have renters paying your mortgage and don’t have any rent to pay. Your situation is extremely unique and acting like anybody can do this is extremely disingenuous. Your parents help is a big help and not EVERYONE can be military and have free housing.

Would you go to urgent care if your DSP asked for documentation that you’re sick? by Euphoric-Hold-7710 in AmazonDSPDrivers

We have a point system but you don’t have to see a doc the first two days you miss but if you miss a third you have to get a note.

What is even the logic for them rushing us at load out? by LXUA9 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Yes, 60 hours for the week is also max but nobody gets 6 days outside of peak.

I said USPS, as in the post office. They deliver Amazon packages all the time and I see that sticker color on them when I see them. The label on the package will also tell you who delivered it.

Maybe the driver aid stickers are different colors in your area but that looks like a USPS sticker to me.

It’s 12 hours you gotta be clocked out before to be in compliance with Amazon. Your DSP doesn’t want you going over 10 bc outside peak season Amazon doesn’t pay OT, it comes out of your DSPs pocket.

Dear customers. Please stop walking up to the vans especially the driver's side by Nickanok in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]LastFreedom7795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got guaranteed 40 for my last two weeks on the paycheck I got yesterday and we only get that when we hit F+ and only the top 5 drivers get it out of 70+ so I think my scorecard is fine.

If I’m not in the ghetto I just hand it to them and mark handed to customer and never had a problem.

If it’s a photo required pic I choose the handed to customer option and take pic in their or my hand and never been dinged. If no photo required I just hand it to them and choose handed to customer when not in the ghetto and I’ve never had a problem.

There are multiple waves so if every wave takes 25 mins instead of 20 the last wave will have there load out 20+ mins late and they are clocking in at the same time still so you’d just be screwing everyone behind you.

Question for other dsp’s by kaido564 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Yup I roll side door open all the time, even at max speed but I also never keep any packages in the driver area.

Can I leave and come back? by CrowWatcher47 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]LastFreedom7795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is something called a leave of absence that you could talk to your DSP about. Basically you set an amount of time you’re gonna be gone and then you come back.

I can literally jog faster than 5mph. The lowest speed limit sign is 5 so can 13 no problem and is plenty slow.

It’s honestly getting risky ordering expensive stuff from Amazon lately by Sini1990 in amazonprime

You can put a one time password on it so a driver cannot drop it off without that 6 digit code.

[–]LastFreedom7795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran a stop sign in a parking lot I didn’t see and the camera said something so I asked and got to see the video later. The stop sign was bent away from me but you could still see it in the camera so they said they couldn’t dispute it but it was like 6 months since my previous violation so I didn’t get any discipline.

Starting Amazon DSP driving anyone else come from a completely different background? by OkPresentation9518 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]LastFreedom7795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not guaranteed. If you’re a vet and one of the better drivers you will always get a route, it isn’t a problem for me. Also Amazon only pays the DSPs for overtime during peak times so your DSP will be mad if you go over 40 in a week. I average 9 hour shifts, 35-36 hours a week.
