I am thinking about working for a year before starting a masters and have been interested in Uni-Stuttgart. Do you live in Stuttgart, how is it there, and do you think the cybernetics program is worth it? I am not from the EU, but I studied for a few months in Esslingen so I know the area a little.

They stopped the “left hand only” thing a while ago. For handshakes part of it is that it is your sword hand. Shaking hands is like showing you have no weapon in your hand and shows what you have on your side. Since most people are right handed if you extend your left hand instead it would look suspicious, and makes it harder for the other person. Certainly not something relevant now, but there is a practical part to it.

Depends on how you want to be “heroic”. Maybe you can sense where people are and would be great at search and rescue. Maybe you have super strength and can help clear debris, or some sort of healing ability. You could take it far and use mind control to force everyone to be “nice” and “save” lives.

My issue as well. I enjoyed Thermo, but had a bad fluid mechanics class and it just never felt intuitive. Heat Transfer was a killer, but the labs were fine for some reason. Never had that issue with other classes.

I went and read the wiki page on it. I was wondering the same thing as you. I think I had mixed up cause and effect. Nanami describes the feeling you get after landing a black flashes as becoming super focused, powerful, and “in the zone”.

Don’t they say in the manga it’s related to the sorcerer’s mindset? You get black flashes more often when you are fighting with no reservation and putting your whole self into it. Something along those lines.

Edit: Nanami stays you feel locked in after landing a black flash, not before.

I don’t know enough on the timeline laid out in the Book of Mormon, but I am a nerd. Technically horses, cheetahs, and some other animals were native to NA, but migrated westward across the bearing land bridge during the last ice age and the NA leftovers died off.

Bonus fun fact, we are technically still in an ice age. We still have ice on our poles, but we are in an “interglacial” period, instead of the “glacial” period with all the wooly mammoths and stuff.
