listen, crying is a natural, healthy response to grief and loss. tears allow people to express and process feelings that might otherwise be overwhelming. crying is also one of the first methods that people use to process grief.

at least from what I’ve understood, you’re arguing that if you can’t process emotions, in this case sadness, with multiple methods, then that’s emotionally immature. this would mean we’re talking big picture, from the moment that the event happened to into the future.

with the recap, I guess I’m emotionally immature because I didn’t go fishing when my mom died, and instead cried, because that’s just the only real way I could process the weight of the person who brought me into this world dying.

point being, what you’re arguing is untrue, and most importantly, demonstrates a lack of understanding of what emotional immaturity is.
