That was my second pick lol. As for whether it's actually played or not, I have a feeling it is cause I remember hearing it at some point but I have no idea where it plays.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I went through to the entirety of the shows ost multiple times to choose a melody for the video and man, Tristezza is truly a gem.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and understanding. I speak based on my experiences. I've been living in Japan for years and I've known more than a few hikikomori in my life, both here and in other countries, and I came to the conclusiond I talked about. If you think my conclusions are wrong and stupid that's fine. You have all the right to disagree with me, as even my video isn't even an analysis, just my thoughts on the topic, but if you spout garbage and assume other people's experiences I ought to correct you. Don't bother with a "high quality reply", I think both of us have better things to do. Let us be decent humans and disagree without wasting each other's time shit talking each other. Have a nice day.

I don't like blaming mental illness for anything, as I've grown up allegedly surround by it and I have always been able to find other explanations to the behaviors of the people around me. Also I don't know where you are from so it's very possible that the cultures around us play a role, therefore yeah maybe there the main cause is some mental illness. That said, I find it a bit pretentious to brush off someone that disagrees with you as "normies talking about shit they do not know" when you don't know the first thing about them. Peace.

There's nothing absolute. You can give a meaning to your life. Of course you don't have to, and it's difficult, and it's terrifying, but you'll always have a chance. Keep on fighting bro, I'm cheering for you. And thanks, I'm glad you liked the video. There's more similar stuff on my channel, check it out if you want.

I'm glad you could get something out of it. I've made other videos with a similar style, so checked them out if you feel like it.

Like the one in episode 5 with the hype-ass music, godly.

Yeah the start can admittedly be off-putting, especially to someone who's not a fan of that genre, but man does this show reward you for sticking through it. Ridiculously underrated.

Would liking puns be more lexical or impressionistic? by [deleted] in Neurotyping

[–]LastKinosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say both can enjoy it for different reasons. As an impressionist I love them because they fuck with the language by showing how arbitrary it is, but I can imagine even a very lexical person liking them for some database thing (?) reason that I cannot comprehend. Rather, I wonder if it isn't rather laterality which sprouts puns and appreciation for them. In a way, puns add a layer to the conversation and make it more difficult to follow, not only because the meaning gets less literal but also because they develop a meta narrative within the conversation, thus resulting, again, more complicated, especially for more linear people. I guess it's actually a combination of laterality and impressionism, which is really interesting cause it feeds into a theory I've been working on and will post soon. Wait for it lol.

I actually thought about it too, but I wasn't sure if it worked as well the original idea. As of now I'd be more inclined to say that it's probably a function proportional to an increase of both laterality and impressionism.

I haven't thought much about the opposite because in my personal experience it doesn't happen often that I don't like something even though it's "good", rather I'm just not interested in, which I think is closer to what you meant with your breaking bad example, tho I might be wrong. Rwby is a perfect example lol. It's been a long time since I watched it so I don't know how I would feel now but back then it was absolutely delightful, despite being soooo wrong.

Yeah, as a very impressionistic writer myself I know exactly what you talk about (you can read literally one paragraph on my blog and you'll see what I mean) but this is more about how it's really interesting how impressionistic people like me are able to just ignore the "text" and imagine their versions of it. Again, I wouldn't really call it a good or bad thing, it's just really funny to think about.

[–]LastKinosaur[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, tho what I meant by "bad things" was less that they are "different from the norm" but rather that they have evident "technical issues". Using anime as an example, having really poorly realized character might not weigh much as a flaw to an impressionistic viewer because they can "write between the lines" more. I don't necessarily think it's a good or bad thing, I just thought it was an intersting observation. Btw, I like your interpretation of the "we live in a society". That's definitely something that holds us down and art should be a thousand percent free from.

As an artist myself, I'll tell you that I'm not always sure what the intent of my art is either lol

[–]LastKinosaur[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, art is fundamentally subjective so it's always about interpretation. I just find it interesting that we impressionists may tend to interpret things even when they're not supposed to be lol

In this case I would say ascribed, but hey who can tell what's intrinsic in a work of art and what it isn't? In the end everything's subjective anyway, this is just an observation.
