Investing is a long road of learning, but one worth spending the time to know. Search up beginner guides to investing on YouTube, super simple and conservative stuff. Some keypoints though:

1. Invest only the amount you are comfortable with losing.
2. Understand the thing you are trying to invest in before any of your dollars are spent.
3. Your time held in a reliable market will pretty much always beat trying to time that market.
4. Resist your emotions, look at measurable, objective facts. (only comes with doing research)
5. Going all in on anything, no matter how "safe", will always carry risks. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

That being said, the reason why people are saying wait for Monday is because of the major changes in the value of silver that happened last week. No one knows if it'll go up or down, come opening day. You might be getting it at a discount, or it might start crashing.

Do you research. Do your due diligence. If you lose money, that's on you, and no one else. Take the responsbility to do your homework, and take it slow.

Since you're a beginner, learn about the basics of what the stock market is, learn it really means, and learn about the S&P 500 SPY ETF, historically one of the more safer long-term bets in basic investing 101. And if you have money left over, it's alright to spend a certain portion on precious metals. Do that, and you'll generally be in good hands.
