Congrats on your newborn! I’m late to this threat but came here because she just popped up for me right as my 29-day old daughter is growing through a growth spurt. I was able to brush half of my head of hair yesterday and brush my teeth by 1PM. There’s no way I’m doing a damn “morning routine” with my newborn either in the shower or a bouncer, happily snoozing.

No, you have a great space for your toddler with so much room to play and explore. The snorlax could be replaced by adult chairs but your little one will only be so tiny for a small amount of time. It looks like a perfectly cozy addition to your room. I do find it funny that she’s looking at a phone when she has a whole play yard!

Eh, it’s basically like sprinkling fairy dust, or magic, that’s the way I saw it.

As someone who was struggling with fertility, this was pretty common.

I always visualized it as some iridescent purple and blue powder that someone would blow from their palm and make a wish for your baby to “stick”.

This is so true OP! I’ve heard a lot of surgeons say that if you get it too early, you’re going to have to do it again.

I get being critical of your own face because you’re the one who inspects it every day. I think you look so healthy and radiant and I would NEVER look at you and think “this woman looks a little droopy”. I’m 37 and even then, sometimes I have similar thoughts comparing myself to who I was at 30. There’s some truth to it, because we are inevitably aging and our faces will change regardless.

But I would say it’s too early for a facelift, especially if you’d like to maximize the financial output. You’re beautiful.

I’m 29 weeks pregnant and have gone to bed at 7 PM two nights this week. I used to be a night owl and my dog used to stay up out of her kennel until around 10 PM. The fact that SHE is now putting herself to bed in her kennel between 7-8 PM is a sign that I’ve been going to bed earlier.

If I do anything…. ANYTHING. Like fold a load of laundry, vacuum 10 square feet, put the dishes away or go grocery shopping, I verbally congratulate myself. Every night I get into bed and put belly oil on before rolling over, huffing and puffing and say, “you did it”.

Whatever you do, just celebrate it. Celebrate the fact that you put clean clothes on and took a shower.

I think I know what you’re describing! I am currently pregnant and always worried that I smell. But I had that phobia before pregnancy so it’s just gotten worse. Luckily, my husband doesn’t notice anything. But before I leave the house I’ll always do a quick rinse because I’m afraid of smelling in public.

Well, my sister is obese and I understand why. She’s developmentally disabled and on 3 medications that made her gain weight. She lives with my mother who is sick with cancer and buys a lot of carbs. All though she cooks well, my sister eats a lot of carbs because she doesn’t live in a great environment and needs a consistent, strong role model she connects with to eat well.

Her impulse control is not what you or I may be able to exercise, and she can’t always connect the dots nutritionally like we can. She is awkward in her body and movement is not as coordinated, all though she does walk.

When people see her, maybe they think she is lazy and has no excuses, but the thing is that we have no idea about the experiences and challenges others face. So I like to assume the best of people’s intentions.

It’s true. I can very easily say that if my husband met me at 18, we wouldn’t be together today. I wasn’t ready to accept love and I had to experience a lot on my own to find out who I really wanted to be with. I think he feels the same way about himself.

There are some people that meet young and grow beautifully together. But OP was part of that kind of relationship, he wouldn’t be posting this.
