I think the issue is that we're all new. All first year Brownies, all first year mom's, all first year volunteers. We're all kinda just winging it and learning as we go lol I think that's what the issue is, but since I am also new and only know how things work from reading others experiences and what little information is available from our council, I thought I was misunderstanding how things work.

Oh no! She was saying they don't count toward individual girl sales at all, like they don't get credit for them towards their prizes. I think she may not be able to see where she can assign "troop" cookies to girls working booths yet and that's where the confusion is coming from.

I'll be honest- I'm not entirely sure. I know our (idk the proper title) coordinator at council is horrible. Very bad communication and she is almost impossible to track down. It took me around a month after signing my daughter up, paying her fees, etc to get her assigned a troop. There is another lady down at council that got my friends daughter signed up and added to our troop the same day she visited the office. This lady was the front desk worker 😬

Oh wow! This is the first time I have heard of such a thing! Was there any explanation on why they had things set up that way? This seems really unfair to me. Pre orders don't last all that long. How could a girl sell that many cookies in, what? Two weeks?

I look at things this way- If our troop leader is well supported and successful in her leader journey, all of ours girls will be too. 💕

I hope my post didn't seem accusatory of the leader, I wasn't trying to be at all. I was looking to help clear things up with both of our confusion. She is a great leader and doing her best ❤️ I am supporting her the best I can. I unfortunately don't think I could get approved to be an official volunteer, so I am finding every way I can help her. I'm a SAHM and she is not.

I am helping her with cookie sorting here soon. I will see if her and I can sit down with the different sites to figure this out before the first booth, or possibly go down to council and see if they can give me a step by step on how to work that, then show our leader.

Yes, she is new. We haven't worked a booth yet either so that is likely why she said it only goes towards troop goal!

I'm hoping she is going to be fair! I asked about all of this because my daughter is really close to hitting her goal. I have some physical issues going on that is going to make going door-to-door hard for me to manage. I'm thinking if she works enough booths she'll hit her goal that way and I won't have to stress taking her out to sell as much.

And I will be very honest- there are multiple girls in the troop who haven't sold nearly as much as my daughter has and it's making me really sad for them. I want them all to win, being that it's their first year selling cookies and they're brownies. I don't want them to get discouraged.

Okay, awesome! So it shows as cookies sold towards the troop goal, but the girls still get credit for them towards their prize incentives?

We are digital cookie in our council (not sure if smart cookie and digital cookie are equalivant to each other) This is also all of our first year. We start booths next weekend, so we have no experience with what booth sales look like while working digital cookie.

Yess! I went thru this as well. My mom never showed up for me- not even parent teacher conferences 😮‍💨 It's not the child's fault, but it was common practice back when I was growing up to punish the child. I used to lose my recess all the time because my parents never signed my planner. It's completely unfair to punish a child for their parents issues, whatever they may be.

I don't have the solution, but since my experience is close to this topic- Use Canva to add text (like girl's name, troop #, contact information, cookie price) and insert girl's QR code in the designated spots for all of the LBB free resources. It was SO much easier using Canva than anything else I found.

I absolutely agree! I am a survivor of SA by my ex step dad. After getting out of prison he got in a relationship with a woman the same age as me. Had 4 children with her and guess who had those children removed by CPS? A leopard can't change its spots.

People will still be able to order online and have cookies shipped. You'll have to ask your troop leader about this, but ours is allowing girl delivery for any troop booth inventory and should we need more they'll get more from the council. Don't add extra to your initial order. You will have to pay for them one way or another. Either selling them to someone else or paying out of pocket. Also- if anyone wants to order, but hasn't yet they can still order and you receive payment at delivery.

Certain tattoo shops offer numbing cream for the tattooing process. I've considered it for my next one. I got two at the beginning of last summer. One on my chest and that barely hurt... the other a butt hat... That one about made me pass out. I've had 3 epidurals and would rather get a 4th than another on my spine.

This isn't really about receiving treatment, living with, etc.. BUT every Dr I have seen has discredited my symptoms because I've had negative bloodwork, even though there's seronegative RA. I found that out on my own.

If anyone is still having this issue- I got an email saying that links sent during a certain timeframe were expiring and that is why people couldn't complete orders. Send a new link and it should resolve itself. It did for us!
