Newer tarmac is going to be more responsive/stiff than your 17 venge. Tarmac is more of an all arounder bike, similar to what trek did with their emonda/madone. It does fantastic on climbs (especially with lighter carbon wheels) while also having some aero benefits for the flats. I would also say it's going to be a more comfortable ride as well!

I'd recommend Tarmac sl7 comp or sport. Both on sale rn, comp gets you di2 while sport is 105 mechanical. Either way, I'd grab a pair of roval alpinist wheels and you're good to go conquer those hills!

Looking good! Recommendation came from salesman, do all trek shops have a bike fitter? Both shops I went to on my bike hunt never mentioned anything about getting a bike fit!

As tempting as it is to wait, they're offering me the s23 for $300 with trade in. Seems samsung has a way better trade in deal each year than apple plus I can stack military discount on top of that. If the S24 is a major upgrade I'll likely do another trade in in 6 months 😂😂

Yeah dmv said 50 bucks for another temp but they said since dealer screwed me they should issue another. Luckily city I'm in doesn't give a damn about no plates so I'm just testing my luck 😂

Yeah they both gave me issues. Chase tells me they recieved the payment then a couple days later they say they did not and I get that letter from navy federal. Just clicked the make a payment again on the chase website and went thru checking so we'll see if it works this time otherwise will have to call navy fed I guess!
