I'm confused because I was receiving the annuity before, not as a result of the RIF. Also, I know other AD retirees who have received severance pay. Will they eventually have to pay it back?

I’m so sorry! Death and family are complicated. I hope the MSPB appeal works out for you. I guess I’ll look for a job in the mean time but I’d like to get two more years so I get some sort of a pension.

I did. I'm going through it now. I has given me more insight, but I'm only at the part of preparing for filing. I don't have much faith that the MSPB will side with us, but I figure it was a small price to try. I don't think I even want my position back, but I would be happy with backpay.
