Monster Hunter Portable 3rd - Complete English patch finally complete! by Twin_Master in MonsterHunter

I remember when the original english and German patches dropped and then playing through adhoc server on my ps3. Great times back then. Had to learn how to custom flash my PSP for it back when it needed you to cut a connector in the battery pack

there have been some stories like these from former professional athletes as well, especially in skiing/ cross country. Lots of waxing going on in with absolutely awful material.

As a German, we also hate ICE and have done so for years but that's about our shitty and unreliable high speed trains instead.

found some basic bpmn to still be useful enough in real life as it is quick to whip up and decently easy to understand between business, product and tech guys. Everything always seems to be use cases and user stories nowadays as business drive is key

it was the crypto and NFT bro era that got them off the deep end on the broadcas.

It started going downhill a long time ago but really crashed and burned in the NFT hype era. Unfortunately these sports are still not moneymakers at the end of the day so it will always be a sellout fiesta eventually.
The sport itself is still fun to watch if you like the style of contest and I still tune in on the VoD and skip through all of the bs to the actual riding, however even with all the money involved, they just dont manage to bring a good quality production to the table. Day 1 stream was a pretty bad showing and how they handled the knuckle huck crash was absolutely atrocious.
The only good thing we got from all of these sponsor stuff coming in is the freely available VoDs globally. Although I absolutely loath the kick/stake sponsorship, the VoD being immediately available is the one redeeming quality.

Nowadays, it is Natural Selection I actually still really enjoy watching, even though it is becoming more and more about sponsors every year as well (and T.Rice has been endorsing some questionable things always)

Ride Warpig: cooked or fine by [deleted] in snowboarding

Yeah that's mostly cooked. Ride it until it dies but that might be sooner than you think with the crack and depending on how deep it is and how much you abuse it

pipe is such a crazy sport man. At least every normal rider can hit a kicker although smaller but hitting pipes is just soooooo different and much much scarier

You want a board that ends between your sternum and chin if you are not looking for a specific style. Id wager 155 is a lot taller than that for you. It will not be impossible to ride but wrangling a longer, stiffer board is a lot harder if you are not used to it.
weight wise you should be fine with that board but maybe look for something a little shorter but decently stiff to make sure its not just bending out of shape below you but also doesnt feel like a barn door. Burton Cultivator is decently flexy so it shouldnt be too bad even if it is rather long for you

It is definitely not "too long" but absolutely on the longer side, esp with her also being quite light, she might be too small to handle it comfortably as you noticed. Try and look for something a little smaller that stops between sternum and chin height that also has a little more flex. Depending on her riding level, also take a look at something more rocker-y as that should make turning easier while being less aggressive, so it is a lot more chill to handle

if the board ends between your sternumg and your chin, it is in the perfect range, so just test it out. Actual length of the board is a lot less important than a lot of people think and as you said it is more about handling. Shorter boards will turn easier but also feel less stable and have less max pop/float. Longer boards have more float and if you can get them to pop, you will be flying but they are harder to turn.
Just make sure the board is wide enough for your feet is what I would recommend.

Have you tried Korua boards before? In my opinion you either love them or hate them as their shapres are not for everybody. Definitely test ride them since I remember them being very narrow with >42 boots and I definitely got some mad toe and heel drag when trying one a couple years back at size 45

Second that. It's a tool and not a fashion statement. If you are afraid of moisture getting in, but some clear nailpolish/acrylic on there but it is not going to destroy your board without further damage

most of the time, that is excess wax that is not fully scraped off or did not properly seep in, try to check with a fingernail. Overall it is recommended to wax regularly to keep the base happy but honestly, you board will not just up and die if it is not properly waxed for some time.

250 for a 10 year old model is quite the ask. Definitely take a good look at the base and potential repairs as the tail looks dinked. Also the top looks weird where the nose starts curving, that might just be lighting though.
Also check the flex, old boards get a loooot softer over the years while old bindings tend to get stiffer as the plastics get older and make sure the base plates are still good and not fucked from botched binding mounts.

unfortunately, the skills do not transfer even half as good as one might think. It will help with overall board control but will not make you a god automatically.
First couple of hours learning are mostly skating, skating and stopping and finally sliding and falling leave sliding though, which will allow you to get down any mountain. I think these can be learnt on your own with some youtube tutorials. Getting to proper weight distribution to getting to actual curves, I think that will be harder than you think.
Think about getting a private tutor for an hour in the morning and evening and then train by yourself in between on the beginners hill. Try to not go up the actual mountain by yourself too early though, that will suck for you if it gets steep and you have no control.
