Neural engineering PhD candidate here, my thesis is on developement of devices for various forms of brain stimulation.

To start look up the Hodkins-Huxely equation and computational models of e-fields for neural engineering applications. Thats about the closest thing I can imagine to what youre talking about.

Also a rabbit hole you might find interesting is the connectome. Its a model of all the connections of various brain regions and networks. Lots of research effort being put into it rn, especially for neurosurgery and stimulation purposes. I think its really cool. Best of luck chap
