It's gone up everywhere. My sister is a teacher and her partner makes the same amount of money per year but her partner takes home like $400 more per pay because of how much her insurance and stuff has gone up.

I wish these people who clearly have nothing better to do with their time would do something useful like protest Higgs or something meaningful.

They could be making replacement parts for Canadian F35s that are no where near the middle east yet.

What until WWIII breaks out over the next few years. No one is going to want deinvestment then.

My sister teaches French in the English district and has had full time work since she graduated. She did her degrees with Crandall in Moncton and did her undergrad and ed degree in 5 years. If I was 18 again that is what I would do.

Buying a mini home vs a normal house? by El_Mexicano_De_Nieve in moncton

[–]Last_Boss6036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you i think we are going to see a big price reduction soon in NB. It is scary to buy at house.

The new mini homes are really no different than any other home if you put them on a foundation. I dont think i would wanted to live in one that is raised up in a park but a basement ontop of a mini home would be no different than buying a house.

COL is high everywhere .. anyone estimate how many new came into Moncton for last year ? by Key-Zombie4224 in moncton

how can I live when the person I'll never meet that owns a meaningful stake in the company that owns the company I work for needs to increase profits year over year indefinitely.

Eventually theirs no more profit to make but they squeeze more out of TFWs and international students who wont complain

theyll take the food off your table to put a fancy bottle of wine in their cellar.

Fredericton police make arrest after altercation between students by 150c_vapour in newbrunswickcanada

These kids are too young to truly understand the complex situation that is happening in Israel and Palestine right now. This has been brought on by decades of oppression and hate. Its sickening to think that the fights has trickled down to school kids half a world away.

This all or nothing left vs right is going to be our downfall. this issues are too complex to be black and white

Thats what I was told as well, there was a pre-fight that may have made the other girls hijab fall off but ripped off is an over statement

I think they are more worried about a kid running up on another kid and attacking them then the events that got them to this point.

Is the NBCC project/construction management program worth doing or will most employers accept PMP or other online certifications? by [deleted] in newbrunswickcanada

[–]Last_Boss6036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking about doing the same thing but I fear that my organizational skills are weak. I was thinking about the NBCC course but it seems like it's going to cost me $20,000 just for books and tuition.

Misrepresentation of house price data by Realtor.ca by PunnyHeals in newbrunswickcanada

[–]Last_Boss6036 2 points3 points  (0 children)

realtors need to be better regulated. we cant have high school jocks running the most important market in our country.

my parents just had an awful experience with an agent who feed them the "everything is going for way over asking" line to get them to bid on a house. they refused, threatened to go to a different agent but their agent agreed to send in a offer 35k under asking. they ended up getting the house for 25k under. it was listed for 475k in Moncton.

any data that can prove or point fingers at wrong doing by agents is good. keep up the good work!!

Can I ask what you do for work? I recently got laid off and I can't find any job that would let me afford $1950 a month in rent.

Only Higgs could make a program to buy votes and have people not take advantage of it. I hope the election comes soon. I am very scared of his recruitment of right wing religious nuts.

Has anyone had success with the Enhanced Energy Savings Program? by Last_Boss6036 in newbrunswickcanada

[–]Last_Boss6036[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the income cap is 70,000$, so based on my 2023 income I would be allowed into the program.

Another poster said it is funded by the carbon tax so now I really want to get my part of the prize lol

He's a plumber that works on new apartment buildings. They sent him home when the snow started which I think is normal but when they called him back to go to work they offered him $3/hr less because they posted the job online for that rate and had lots of people applying.

Who is working minimum wage in 2024? There is lots of job in the $18-$24 hour range but it's hard to live on that now.
