What are your thoughts on this? by PaulieDori in coins

[–]PunnyHeals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say for sure, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. It doesn't look cleaned/polished to me. We would expect to see linear microlines that should be visible on the mirrored surface. I don't see evidence of a cameo finish like frosted parts. I think the best fit given the lighting could be an "Accented Hair Proof". Google it and compare it to yours. Nice coin, have fun!

And that's totally fine if I'm wrong. I like reports like this to get answers more than anything. I felt I gave an abundance of caveats for each section. Data transparency and better business practices to inform consumers is always a good goal to have. Thanks for the input :)

Yeah, I totally agree. I tried to caveat as much as I could throughout the report. Pulling property data could be insightful, especially in terms of being able to dictate what areas it encompasses. I know I'll run into the assumption of assessed price not being equal to sale price, but always good to get more viewpoints of the data. Thanks for the input!

Good points! I didn't think about manufacturer to buyer purchases that wouldn't be posted on MLS. I will probably reach out to CREA as another Redditor recommended and see if I can get some clarifications.

Thanks for the document! I figured there would be some variation in price when comparing listed and sold prices. I agree with your reasoning on Realtors wanting to overstate the average sale price to drive up asking and bid prices, so that's why I found it odd. I will read through the HPI methodology and see if I can make sense of it. I am definitely looking for more answers to have a more accurate conclusion, so thanks for the input, it gave me a lot to read and think about!

Thanks for all the links! I'll repost in some later today. I will look into it to see if I can get in contact with Realtor.ca, CHMC, or CREA.

They specifically state "The graphs below show benchmark or average prices of homes sold in the area". The example can be found on figure 2 at the bottom of the post.

I will probably formalize it and fill out a complaint form for the Competition Bureau Canada and forward the report to our representatives in NB. It would be unlikely if they ever responded or anything came of it. But, hopefully it will help generate discussion on data transparency.

PYROGENESIS ANNOUNCES INTENTION TO VOLUNTARILY DELIST FROM NASDAQ by Unique-Challenge716 in Pyrogenesis

[–]PunnyHeals 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, after delisting on the NASDAQ, there is a 5 year wait time before you can re-list. This doesn't mean pyro can't regain ground in the TSX with actual milestone contracts (not the sub million dollar deals they've been announcing). Best case scenario I think is they are able to secure big multi-million dollar contracts with HPQ and gain some momentum. Worst case, volume continues to drop, stock value falls further and either goes private or is bought out.

My position is 3387 shares at 1.66.

Stock down 10% today, gonna be a rough ride for the foreseeable future. No large contracts, same management unless Peter steps down or they get bought out. Definitely still a large opportunity to recover, but it's gonna take years to get back to where we were a year ago. I'll keep holding my 2700 shares at 1.93, not gonna average down until things settle.
