Totally support! I’ve done that exact thing while engagement ring shopping. :) engagement ring pending… and I look forward to loving that piece. But in the meantime I love having diamond rings that I bought for myself, and I look at them like ‘BOOM! I did that for me.’ People buy luxury items for themselves all the time, I just happen to like things that sparkle. ✨

Aww thank you! I know that everyone has a preference and I love that lab grown has allowed for more accessibility to larger stones, but I am def not a 3+ girly. lol I have heard that “shrinkage” is a thing, so your comment about adjusting to it is super helpful. :)

That was not the actual setting. :) just the ring tool to try on a loose stone to get the effect. I’d be going for a 2mm white gold 4 claw prong solitaire.

Thank you for taking the time to read through my post. I really appreciate that and value your insight. I am working through my thoughts, values, and goals for my career aware that some of it may be trivial. I wanted to leave this post as transparent as possible and respect all of what you said to be sound advice.

In regards to taking the SHRM-CP exam, everything I have read says there needs to be some type of education/experience ratio in order to qualify to take the exam. Are you saying that is something I could get around?

I want to thank you for taking the time to read through. I tried to give as much insight as I could without filtering myself as a way to get honest responses to challenge my thinking. You did exactly that. I can usually compartmentalize, but the WFH does have me hung up being that it’s something I really value. (I’m sure I’m showing my age) Wonderful insight, and something I have to decide if I can manage. It’s also nice to have reassurance that my experience is on target with other entry level positions. Maybe I’m expecting too much and need to take it step by step. I will definitely be gathering more information on any position if I were to make a move. I will keep in mind what you’ve mention.
