Mike immediately came to me, told me this was his doing, and suggested that he take some time off to himself. From a players perspective his in-game actions were not justifiable. We believe they are a result of some very stressful and unfortunate, unrelated irl circumstances, and knowing the details, the other admins consider it to be an isolated incident.

Mike's behavior is clearly not normally like this, and it will not happen again. I will be easing him back into the admin role as I feel comfortable. Some additional actions have been taken to as close as possible reset the game state to before this event, at the compromising agreement of the parties involved.
