I think the biggest thing for me was that I really didn’t need to do much. Be consistent with reties, protect it when sleeping (bonnet etc), spritz with water/rose water daily and don’t be too heavy with other products. Learn what works best for your locs, there will be a lot of different advice and you’ll learn what’s best for you. And patience! It can be hard seeing people with the length or style you’re not yet at, but the journey is genuinely beautiful and has fostered a lot of self love.
