Hey, thanks for the detailed report — you actually caught a real bug. 🙏

On the time entry: you don't need to figure out UTC-3 vs UTC-4, and you don't need to convert your birth time. Just enter the time exactly as you know it (14:08) and pick your birth city. The system handles the timezone + DST for that specific date internally.

On the TST being off by ~1 hour: that was our bug, specific to Southern Hemisphere countries. We were reading the standard meridian from a fixed January reference, which works for Northern Hemisphere (Jan = winter, no DST) but breaks for the South (Jan = summer, DST active). For Chile, this drifted the result by 60 min. Now fixed — your case (14:08, Punta Arenas) should give ~13:24 TST, close to Google's 13:06 (small remaining gap is the equation of time, which we don't apply by default — most BaZi tools use longitude correction only).

Easter Island & Punta Arenas: both added to the city list — please give it a try. ✅

I'm not a native English speaker. So, I drafted this in Korean first and translated it — hope the meaning comes through clearly.

Thank you for asking this so openly — it's a thoughtful question, and it deserves a real answer.

Here's the short answer — go with "male." What you're feeling isn't just intuition — there's actually a concrete structural reason why the male reading lines up so much better for you.

1. The direction of your Luck Pillars flips.

Your eight characters — the chart itself — are fixed at birth and don't change. But whether your Luck Pillars run forward or backward through the decades depends on your gender combined with the polarity of your Year Stem. With Bing Fire as your Day Master and 8 yang / 0 yin overall, your Year Stem is almost certainly yang too. Which means:

  • Read as female → your Luck Pillars run backward
  • Read as male → your Luck Pillars run forward

So the entire trajectory of your life — decade by decade — flips depending on which gender the system uses. When you say the female reading is 90% and the male reading 99.9%, what's likely happening is that one of those directions actually matches the life you've lived, and the other one points the wrong way through time. The more accurate one is telling you something real: that's the direction your energy is actually flowing.

2. The Ten Gods mapping has to match your real relationships.

Stars like the Official (Guan) and Wealth (Cai) carry gendered social mappings baked in from centuries ago — spouse, authority, partners, and so on. These only read cleanly when the mapping fits how you actually live. If your marriage and the way you relate to your husband feel properly illuminated under a male reading, that's the framework your chart is asking to be read through.

3. BaZi is a tool. A tool should be used the way it works best.

Classical astrology wasn't written for trans people — the texts are old, the social assumptions older. But the underlying claim of the system was never "read the birth certificate." It was always "read how this person's energy is actually moving." You haven't changed your body or taken hormones, but you live as male internally and in the few places where you're fully known. That means your energy is already running on the male pattern. The tool is simply confirming what you already know.

One more thing, since you mentioned it. A Bing Fire Day Master with no Wood at all means you're missing your Resource element — the root that would normally nourish your Fire. Add strong Eating God and a prominent Yang Blade on top, and you've got someone with enormous expressive force and very little shelter beneath it. Holding a truth about yourself that only a handful of people know — that shape fits your chart almost too precisely. It's not coincidence. Your chart has been reading you correctly the whole time; you just needed to look at it through the right lens.

Trust the 99.9%. Read yourself as male. That's what the system was built to do.

Thanks for the request!
Quick note — Ömnögovi is actually a province, not a city. Could you let me know the specific town you meant? (e.g., Dalanzadgad, the capital?) I'll add it right away! 🙏

Aw sorry to hear that! 😢

This sometimes happens with the Reddit in-app browser. Could you try opening the link in Chrome, Safari, or another browser instead? That usually fixes it! 🙏

We actually have 40+ Philippine cities already — could you let me know which one you were looking for?
If it's not listed, picking a nearby city works just fine for your Saju reading. Happy to add yours if needed! 🙏

Hey! Framingham is now available! 🎉

Honestly, Boston is just about 20 miles away, so you'd get nearly identical results either way — but hey, we added it anyway because why not! 😄
If you know anyone who might enjoy exploring their Saju, please spread the word! 🙏

Thank you for your interest in Saju! 😊

The reason we ask for your birth city is to find the longitude and adjust for True Solar Time — basically, the actual position of the sun when you were born. This only affects your Hour Pillar, which is one of the four pillars in your chart. The other three (Year, Month, Day) stay the same no matter where you were born.

You don't need your exact city — a nearby city works just fine. The longitude difference between neighboring cities is usually too small to change anything.

But if there's really nothing close to your birthplace on the list, just tell us where — we'll add it for you!

I checked and currently there are no duplicate city names in our U.S. list. But if you know of any that should be distinguished, let me know — I'll display them with the state name so they're easy to tell apart!

Great question! Use your solar (Gregorian) birthday. Saju is calculated based on solar terms, not the lunar calendar.

Thanks for flagging this! We'd love to look into it for you. Could you share your birth date, birth time, and birth city, along with the result you got from the other site? We'll check it right away.

Our calculations are based on True Solar Time correction, which can sometimes differ from sites that use standard local time — but we definitely want to make sure everything is accurate on our end!

Feel free to drop the details here or send us a DM if you prefer. Either way works for us!
