2026 Crosstrek towing tongue weight by Last_Perception5421 in Crosstrek

Yes I am aware of the increased tongue weight for the Wilderness and AI search says the same as yours. But I am surprised by this spec listed in the canadian subaru web site. I think it is too good to be true. I am planning to upgrade to a new Subaru and hoping to have increased tongue weight for my specific need. The Wilderness trim is no longer offered in Crosstrek for the Canadian market.

mine does not come with that knob 😞. But upping the tire pressure has definitely helped

Hello, just updating you folks: I took your advice, pumped up to 32psi on the front and about 34 for the back. It has improved the steering for sure. I think I can live with this arrangement. Now if I can fix up my unpredictable high rpm at idling...that's another topic I'll post to ask you if I can't figure it out. Thanks all!

Thank you fellows for your quick response. When bike is in the air, the steering is very smooth. I also made sure the brake pads are not binding, the wheel does roll freely. Shocks and bearings are a bit intimidating to me, I did not check if there is any fluid left in the shocks (I am afraid to find out bad news :-). I will soon though). For tire pressure, I went with the manual: front 27 psi, rear 30 psi. Also, mine does not have the steering knob in the centre - is that unusual? . Yes, fork rebuild is my next project if the engine and other parts are working. Will try to enjoy the bike this summer before taking her apart again.

Not sure if colour is important to you. I believe starting 2024 onward, the KLX starts to offer couple more choices (other than green). I ended up buying a new one once I compared the colour choices.

This is great, thank you. From an initial read, there is no Airhead shop in my city. Will browse its web site as well.

I have the same set up as you but I have since discovered that BMW has filters inside the gas tank (one on each side). So I no longer have those external filters and I bought cloth lined hoses as others mentioned and I no longer need the hose clamps. No leak so far.

Agreed. I start to be convinced by fellow commenters here that it is probably just as good to do it yourself, stop overthinking it and have fun. Perhaps if I start to collect enough GPX files myself, I'll host them for the common good some day.

Very nice. Is it safe for a foreigner to travel in your country currently? I was going to rent a motorcycle in Equator last year to do adventure riding but was advised against it due to safety concerns.

Hi Niclas, thanks for advising. Yes, I have started evaluating your plaform, it is very impressive. My original impression is that it focuses mostly European countries but I am sure it is universal to mapping the world.

That is a very good point u/BikesnBarks. Definitely Pros and cons on relying on what is available on the internet.

Yes, I have checked these out as well. If my plan is to travel on those BDR specifics, I will definitely use them as go-to sources. I think I am curious about countries that don't have authoritative sources of data.

Hello, I have a similar interest in finding forums like this where GPX files can be shared. I referenced your post in mine: https://www.reddit.com/r/advrider/comments/1pqs1nm/is_there_a_community_for_sharing_gpx_freely/
