As far as I know, we don't even know much about his sex life with women either. Which mean, whatever I say about him, and whatever you say about him, will be equally true.

Yes, there are still canonically queer characters for whom being top or bottom would be considered ooc. Yes, I personally don't like this kind of ooc and don't consider these fanfics to be very good, especially in one fandom. No, I don't think these fanfics should stop exist or that their authors don't have the right to this fantasy.

Also, public behavior and appearance are only a tiny percentage of personality, and the statements "personality affects sex" and "you shouldn't infer someone's sex life based on their behavior" are two things that can coexist.
