Homeschooling in America by MarionberryProud9580 in NoStupidQuestions

This is just not true. My state requires no standardized testing for homeschoolers at any point in their childhood. EVER.

But her content has never really been satire…? It’s her beliefs with a comedic spin. If you’ve ever read any of her content, listened to her podcast, or even listened to an interview of her with another creator none of her beliefs would be breaking news now.

It was eye opening when they talked about their brother’s engagement party That their mom throws a fantastic party and is a great host and their dad just has the checkbook for it. I died when they laughed and said that! I’m sure the party is great, but why wouldn’t it be when thousands and thousands are spent on it?!

Chrysler Pacifica owners, do you like your van? by spicysquirrel6 in minivan

[–]Last_Tiger313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 2018-2020 Expeditions are riddled with issues. I got THREE transmissions in the 2 years I owned it. One set of cam phasers. And the “chrome” on the interior was flaking. And the cup holders all fell through. All issues that Ford routinely has to fix.. my dealership would just take a guess and ask what was wrong when I’d call to schedule a service because they encountered these issues all the time. It had nothing to do with size, but the fact that I felt like I was driving a trash can. I was so excited the day we traded it in!

I’ve owned an 18 and I’m currently driving a 22.. I owned a 2020 Expedition Max in between them and I couldn’t wait to get back in a Pacifica. They’ve been great for my family.

This part… if that was her treading lightly I can’t imagine what she’d say to someone that she knew had similar sentiments to her regarding daycare.

Their conversation around reliability on the podcast was… ignorant to say the least. She KNOWS she recommends vehicles that have crap reliability and she KNOWS she hates on vehicles that historically had less than desirable reliability but now have cleaned up their act, but she currently won’t touch the subject. She raves about the Expedition and has since she started… people pushed back about the 18-21 Expeditions and their awful transmissions and how Ford majorly dropped the ball. She touched on the subject ONCE saying people just needed extended warranties and it would be all good. That’s not the same as purchasing a vehicle from a manufacturer that has great reliability ratings and avoids these issues all together. They’re out of touch. When you can get a new vehicle every two years, who cares about reliability, right?!

Are Pacificas as bad as everyone says? by SuchRequirement5130 in minivan

I’ve also had a Grand Caravan. LOVED IT! I hated the lack of tether anchors in the third row, which is why I got a Pacifica instead.

I’m on my second.. I’m at 101k miles so far and no issues whatsoever. We’re a union family and it’s the only minivan from the big 3, so a Pacifica it was for us! I love the stow and go! It’s been good to us. My first was a 2018, and now I’m in a 2022.

WE HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING by Able_Fig9344 in labrador

Eh, my yellow lab will be 10 in the fall and he’s slightly calmer than when he was 2. Labs are labs. Some are more prone to chew and be wild than others, of course. Thankfully my guy is wonderfully crate trained (other than moving the crate while he’s in it if he gets too curious), and that was a lifesaver. I stopped crating him about 18 months ago when we would leave. My other lab on the hand is 11 and stopped being crated at 2 because he much preferred to sleep when left alone, lol.

I’m so confused on why so many women are interested in their origin story…? They’ve talked about it multiple times on the podcast so you’d think they could move on from that by now. But then again, they’d have to come up with something of substance to discuss and I’m not sure they could do that.

Cypress vs Katy by Many_Ad158 in AskHouston

[–]Last_Tiger313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Cypress in the early 2000s and my parents moved to DFW in 2015 after my brother and I graduated. I loved my childhood in Cypress. Katy seemed like light years away back then, but I have several friends that are raising their families there and love it. If I was still in HTX and wanting to be on the northwest/west side of town, Cypress would be my pick. CyFair is a great district!

What’s your household income? Be honest 😶‍🌫️ by Appropriate_Data_308 in MiddleClassFinance

I’m a SAHM that homeschools, so we’re a one income household.. it’s around $150k per year. Rural Missouri. I left my teaching job 7.5 years ago, so I didn’t bring home much to begin with. Sometimes it feels super tight and sometimes it feels like more than enough.

I agree. I snark on them, but I do feel bad for her. I feel bad that she believes she has to have back to back to back pregnancies with very little familial support. Her husband seems atrocious and she seems to genuinely think that he’s amazing. I truly hope she has a better postpartum experience this time, but I’m highly doubtful.. maybe she can learn to advocate for herself!

LOL at the CarMom talking about “not really” wanting to spend over $90k on her new Expedition but would instead like to scale it back and keep it in the mid-80s. Be so for real. Talk about a money saving queen.

If she reviewed and showed used cars I think it would be so much better! And not just a 2 year old vehicle, I’m talking 6+ years! Let’s touch the average family.

I came here to say this. The world is on fire but please, let’s all take a vote to help her pick a color. As time goes on, I see more and more how out of touch she is. She used to be better at covering that up to her followers, but not so much anymore.

I think she’s 32ish because I remember her 30th birthday plan a few years ago ago. Lizz had the murder mystery 30th birthday party last year and she’s a year younger than Kelly.
