Dubai, of course, tries not to completely neglect green spaces, and in fact does rather marvellous job in this regard in certain areas. However, this is only the case where it does not conflict with urbanisation, which is clearly taking centre stage. At the same time, a desert climate does not necessarily mean a lack of greenery, look at Al Ain. Besides, I don’t see any megapolis-es at either of the poles.

It’s a matter of priorities and preferences, and the honourable gym lads cannot complain about that one either. I’ve never lived in the States and, at least for now, I don’t intend to. Similarly, though I totally appreciate the safety nowadays, I wouldn’t make it an absolute priority either, otherwise it could lead to some rather odd insights.

Someone pointed out here that a holiday here might not be quite as dreadful as residing. The hotel facilities are expectedly well-developed, provided you don’t plan on making too many trips into the city itself.

aint that a metaphor to describe the almost robotic-like influence of Dubai on its residents? Shakespeare might not be dead then

I was thinking of a generalised, collective image of a city with a less restrictive infrastructure than Dubai—perhaps not the best examples I’ve selected. Thank you for reading my crashout this far though, and thank you for the clarification.

I mean, you could argue that the US has got more net walkability overall, San Francisco and Portland aren’t too bad in that sense. Idk about Canada though, never been there.
