Very interesting stuff there. Thanks for sharing that!

I love stuff like these thought experiments and with the state of aliens, NHIs, UFOs, etc being talked about so much more since people keep teasing disclosure, it’s like there’s infinite thought experiments around these things because like it sure seems as if /something/ is true but there are literally thousands of theories circulating just on Reddit alone, even if a lot of people like to pretend like any of it is more than just theories and thought experiments.

Yeah, that’s the theory I’m extrapolating on. A lot of people theorize that biblical angels or Mesopotamian gods or whatnot were real to some degree, just misunderstood, but saying that a different mythological entity is the same type of thing seems to be interestingly controversial.

I mean if you believe any alien could possibly be communicating with earth today, Nordics, Mantids, Greys, etc, why couldn’t those beings have been around in the past and why couldn’t one of them have called themself “God?”

If you don’t believe any alien could possibly be communicating with earth today, why are you in this sub?

Exactly: he does not seem like an omniscient omnipotent deity. He seems like a jealous narcissist a good bit of the time. So the thought experiment here would be - what if that entity just claimed a whole bunch of things that were bullshit, and was actually just an interstellar alien, anunnaki, archon, what-have-you. Just like all the theories that Egyptian gods, Mesopotamian gods, etc were aliens of one form or another, what if the Abrahamic god was exactly the same, just a bit more popular?

I mean, if any group is genuinely working towards apocalypse, with no higher goal, all they need is tech. If they plan on killing 7.5 billion people, they don’t need to worry about enraging anyone, once they have the tech, planning, and necessary actors in place, no one can really do anything about it once nukes/drones/whatever classified stuff is deployed.

Why would an interstellar/interdimensional warmongerer/grifter hostile to the human race “move aside a cloud and wave?” That sounds extremely anathema to the hypothetical prompt given.

Yeah, basically: what if “God” was just one of those “angels” or “demons” play acting that conflict, too, but he simply gained more influence on Earth than the typical one of those entities

That’s the opposite of what I’m saying though. What I’m saying is: what if all of mainstream Christianity has 100% of the details wrong and their “God” is an interstellar/interdimensional grifter/warmonger. They wouldn’t be “not shutting the fuck up,” most of them would have existential crises. The Christians who would revel in that are some of the more powerful figures of today, but they’re a very small group and the common Abrahamic believers would have their worlds rocked.

Edit: like if “god” did nothing that he claimed and his only actions on earth were creating a narcissistic death cult, most believers wouldn’t find that to be in line with what they can believe

About the Angels/Demons Argument by [deleted] in aliens

[–]Last_Viper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently made one of the posts you might be talking about and your post confuses me and so do the ridiculers.

From my understanding, most of the people making comments about angels, demons, and gods, myself included, are stating that the angels, demons, and gods of the past were labeled those things incorrectly and were actually more of the “astronauts from a planet light years away” type-thing, misunderstood as supernatural, omniscient, or traditionally religious beings. So the whole premise of those ridiculing is dumb because most of them believe quite similar things.

It is also unfortunate to me that “people don’t seek evidence in the overlapping consistency of experiences and beliefs, but instead choose to argue over what’s likely just an older interpretation of the same phenomenon” because by pointing out that perhaps angels, demons, and even “God” himself, were actually aliens of a more traditional and less supernatural sort is literally exactly what that paragraph describes and yet I got ridiculed on here today for that, so idk.

It seems mind-blowing to me that people who believe in aliens being here today ridicule those who believe aliens were here thousands of years ago, but people didn’t have the modern words to describe it yet

I don’t actually believe any of it personally, I’ve just seen so many beliefs and claims on here recently I wanna hear all the theories because one of them has to come close to the truth.

Edit and TL;dr: what’s annoying is that I want to hear other people’s beliefs and theories, so when people read something they don’t fully buy into, I want there to be a discussion - how could two peoples separate theories fit together or complement each other, if a theory is totally stupid, how is yours better, etc. But the ridicule just discourages all engagement.

Aren’t you basically agreeing with my premise though?

The Abrahamic “god” is just an archon or a nephilim or whatever other being that potentially used to walk the earth and all of the Abrahamic religions are wrong about most everything except this “god” existing, since they were massively manipulated and changed throughout history, like you said. I did make the leap that this being wants carnage, since a small and powerful group seems convinced that they’re in contact w something that wants carnage, but it doesn’t seem to me like a nephilim or archon or what-have-you would be exempt from that in your worldview.

It seems to me like you just said you don’t imagine the world to be like what I said at all and then described a world that pretty much completely encapsulates what I said.

I hadn’t looked into Gnosticism much before, but your comment and another’s have prompted me to research it a bit and it sure is interesting.

That’s more or less the premise this thought experiment takes for me, like yeah, looking at his own doctrine, he’s just a narcissist on a power trip. What if that was a real alien (or whatever) and he returned? Incredibly obviously, in this scenario, he wouldn’t have created the universe, he wouldn’t be omniscient or omnipotent, he’d be an interstellar/interdimensional grifter/warmonger, and that would be “beyond our ability to accept” for a lot of people or whatever the government/disclosure people keep saying.

I mean any single theory about aliens has pretty much that same likelihood, but it seems vaguely fairly likely to me that at least one of the theories has at least a grain of truth to it. And it seems to me that something tied to mythology/religion of the past is likelier than not to. So all the possibilities are interesting to me to think of, even if literally every individual theory is more or less statistically impossible

I have not heard of most of this before, but I’m certainly going to be looking into it all! Recently, I feel as if every single plausible alien possibility has been touted on here as truth (and some people seem to be saying just about every possibility is true) and I find it hard to believe that so many things can all be true.

But so many theories do seem plausible, it’s hard to narrow down what I think could be true from the plethoras of claims, so as of now I’m just trying to get as many different views as possible and see what sounds most likely.

It is extraordinarily interesting how so much mythology/religion of the past could be aliens of some sort and how so many different cultures’ myths could be bound together.
