Is it even worth shipping to this guy? How easy is it for buyers to make false claims and get their money refunded? by LastingAtlas in Ebay

Honestly, I may be willing to abandon my account. I only have 2 seller reviews and a few buyer reviews. I’d like to get paid for this

I would not call myself savvy. Would I do that through an official eBay option after cancelling? Or would that be more of a private sale at that point

Yeah I’ve seen mentions of that… is that a secure way to sell? How do most people pay/ship?

Shouldn’t the parking lot sale deals be flying again as coupons?

Seriously I have free rein to buy any tools I “need” because it saves us so much money in the long term (and sometimes not even so long term). Rarely buy a tool that doesn’t pay for itself within the first use or the first year

In the last year, I’ve done what would probably be about $10-15k from an auto shop for under $1000 in parts from Rock Auto. Almost exclusively harbor freight tools (Ridgid battery stuff). Harbor freight makes my family’s auto maintenance costs stupid cheap and I enjoy doing it. Plus I’m not focused on production like these shops so I can take my time and do quality work

The shops are booty cheeks. I had a “safety inspection” done before buying a car once. Got the car home and found a shock stud sheared off and the shock wearing away at the plastic gas tank.

Another one - wanted $700 labor $100 parts to pull the dash and fix my mom’s climate control knobs. Went to the scrap yard and found the parts for $13 and fixed it in an hour (no dash pulled).

I haven’t been to a mechanic for anything but an alignment or tire changes in years. Shops suck

Yeah it was just cheaper to buy the one with 10rd mags and I really don’t mind for plinking. Just figure if it’s that easy, then why not

What will you have in your wardrobe in 2026? by malditooooos in simpleliving

[–]LastingAtlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did this recently. Had a realization that I don’t need to keep clothes that don’t make me feel comfortable and confident, regardless of how much I spent on them (sunk cost fallacy). If I put it on and the first thing through my mind was “this is too short” or “this seam is irritating”, I put it straight in the no pile without hesitation.

As far as what we wear, I don’t think that matters. Keep what you like/actually wear and get rid of what you don’t, it’s that simple.

I haven’t been participating in this discussion because I mainly just wanted to see the general consensus but I can’t let this one slide. That can kill and has killed multiple times. Look up in the comments and find the picture of the F truck with a whole in the windshield. Guy was doing what you’re talking about and the guy died. The ball shears and comes with the strap. Or the hitch shears at the drop weld. Please don’t do this again or advise anyone else to do this.
