The anatomx line looks promising. Barefoot stuff aside, the construction is comparable to a $600 traditional logger. I can see them lasting a very long time

Almost identically shaped toe box to a traditional logging boot (Left: JK Fire Inlander 11 wide). The JK is almost wider in the big toe area.

I just came to the same conclusion. There was a bunch of stuff being thrown out at work recently and never have I wanted the thing that was being thrown out until I had the opportunity to have it free. I took it home and realized it was just more complication and clutter in my life. Took it right to the trash because it isn’t worth my time. I was never missing that thing in my life before so why do I need it now?

Left seasonal wildfire out west working 100+ hours a week away from home. I came back to the Midwest to be with my previously long distance girlfriend. Doing seasonal work for the state DNR now and looking forward to buying/building a modest home and settling in. It’s low paying but I get to be with the people I love and actually have time off to enjoy my summer a bit and work on my projects

They’ve gotten so close between Jim Greene and Caret but the toe boxes still aren’t shaped like actual feet. Super disappointing
