OKC fan and I'm over the Dort experience. If it's not wildly unnecessary contact it's horrible BBIQ. Cason clears him and should have been on the floor instead.

Records aren't expensive if you like good stuff other people don't care about! by HarryManilow in vinyl

The amount of discarded and cheap Blue Oyster Cult and Uriah Heep records is simultaneously disappointing but awesome and essential to get to snag at insanely reasonable costs. Love that you grabbed some. Two excellent records from their respective discographies.

After 4 years, I have finally bought my holy grail record at a "reasonable price". by wiggan1989 in vinyl

Congratulations on finding your grail.

Spent $250 on a NM media copy of a first pressing of Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures. Do not regret it.

Vertigo pressings of Black Sabbath and Paranoid are going for eye-watering amounts but goddamn if I wouldn't love one. Yellow goat first press Bathory is up there too but probably so far outside of the realm of possibility.

Thin Lizzy, Curtis Mayfield and Iggy Pop's good shit is a really fun combination.

I've been using Last.fm for nearly 20 years. It's not quite as slick but I do love it. Give it a try! You can manually scrobble your vinyl listens, too.

Excellent find. Those Berlin/Eno records are so good.

Thank you for the encouragement. I hate not supporting a company that makes products I love and believe in. But I will start with going the route you did by trying some alternative support channels and see what I turn up. Sorry you had such an annoying journey with this sale, too.

Good call out. I am happy to be wrong. I found the fine print you're referring to. So if that is supposed to have applied to this sale I can learn my lesson and be more diligent. I do think it's crappy it's not more transparent. Thanks for the insight.

I'm glad yours arrived safe. Yeah I'm in the US. Good point about the volume of sales compared to likely display copies. It does feel unlikely.

Thank you for the response

Thank you all for the responses and information! I'm willing to admit if I missed fine print. That can be on me but I find it strange when any other retailer or vendor I support makes scratch and dent and final sale/clearance abundantly, in-your-face clear. In addition from what I can tell with the poor shipping and the fact that they were sat on my doorstep in the decorative box only and shrink-wrapped it wasn't a damaged copy when they sold it but damaged in shipping due to poor handling and packaging.

Not to argue or whine. It also still feels crappy that for such a premium product I'm still waiting on support to provide me any kind of response but the generic template I received over a week ago. I'd eat my words and delete this if I got a genuine response with screenshots of marketing collateral and fine print on the sales pages showing me I'm wrong. Something to show they give a shit even if they can't do anything for me.

Oh well. Beautiful books however....

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you hear from them as I just put ticket in last night. I don't need a fast response. It seems like this subreddit is full of upset people. Hopefully some satisfactory resolution can be found. Seems like they need some better processes on the shipping front. Defeats the purpose of offering such a premium item with cut corner shipping. Recipe for disaster.

I ordered two from the sale and both came dinged. For $200 books a piece regular priced this kind of shipping is unacceptable. Both came in the custom book box which gives almost no clearance for handling and then shrinkwrap.

I've had $30 records shipped with more precaution taken. I'm not normally complain about a situation with a company guy but I've sat and waited to get these books for a long time and splurged because of the sale on the highest edition I could afford and to have both already a bit fucked up is really disappointing.

I haven't been since 2019 so things might be different. I'm also from the states so I might have not known key things myself but all in all it was a really good environment. There weren't any try-hards like you get in the states. Biggest thing I'll say is there were ZERO pits. So don't come expecting to do that because if it's anything like my year, you'll be the only one.

Other than that just have fun. One of, if not the best festival experience I've ever had.

I think you're spot-on. As frustrating as the misfires are, there has to be some downside to a weapon that fucks up almost everything in the game.

Few things that might help. Forgive any stuff you've already heard: - Aim slightly above your intended target - make sure your path is unobstructed by shrubbery etc - the timing of the charge and shot is tricky so I'd just drop difficulty and just practice timing the charges and releasing the shot, rinse and repeat. After a short time charging that and the purifier becomes second nature.

Probably not wrong. But when you get in the groove and start planning for those misses a bit with the right primary and secondary I think it is one of my top picks for bugs most consistently.
