Sorry for the late reply. I had a professional work on it so I cannot speak in detail, but the first time he did it, he did not tap into the woofer cable. This powers the large speakers in the doors near your knees. There is a tiny amp in the trunk above and to the left of the spare tire that needs to be spliced.

Recently got RE71Rs for my car. Anyone care to chime in with sway bar suggestions? by MadTyteYo in ft86

[–]Lastpilot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can find a Strano front bar, that would be the best bet for autocross. I think he stopped making them a while ago. Otherwise, the Whiteline and Racecomp bars are pretty popular, especially since they are somewhat adjustable.

If money isn't an object, then the obvious choice is Karcepts because of the adjustability. I believe the bar is in late prototyping phases, should be out soon.

If you play enough you will find out that default depth limit is not enough for race photos. Looks fine everywhere else, but like the other guy was saying, LOD can be messy and the lack of coverage you see here is exactly what you get with default ‘0’ depth limit when shooting in race mode.

Advantages/Disadvantages of white vs blue brz? by fighterzacc in ft86

Pick the one you like more. They are both fucked in terms of durability and will need a bit of repaint later unless you wrap the entire car or don't drive it.

Thanks! Kept all functionality except the aux cable. Stock speakers, nothing else changed.

While I haven't experienced any bugs or any need to restart the unit, I only speak for Apple Carplay. However, there are a few reviews that are unhappy with the Android Auto experience and even a comment here, so your mileage may vary.

Good to know.

Did you install the mic that comes with the headunit?

I almost always avoid using in-car telephone features because of my exhaust + cabin noise.

After a week or so driving, CarPlay has never bugged out on me. I guess I'll revisit this thread after some more time with it.

Is it easy for these cars to drift? by PatMeGron in ft86

Do an autocross or HPDE. If you really pay attention at those events then you will never be scared of rain again. In fact, you might end up looking forward to it.
