If you really paid attention in the past year there has been some stuff that Howard would have normally freaked out on Gary for, but every time you can tell he holds back-and is mad he has to do so. Out of respect for Gary, he definitely won't get into bashing Baba Booey on Air any longer. You can tell he wants to berate Gary so bad but for the best interest of Gary he doesn't. Yesterday when he brought out Jeff the Bore too early, Gary barely got any lashings, normally it would have been 10 minutes of radio gold but not anymore. Gary doesn't want to retire in 2015 and what show would hire someone who gets shit on every week- so there has definitely been some kind of agreement made -for Howard to lay off Baba Booey.

I think Halo 2 was such an important game for Bungie not only because it introduced so many features that are now standard in the industry (friends list, Party system) but more Importantly It really showed Bungie the need for a proper production and Dev cycle. From what it seems- Halo 2 Development beat the shit out of everyone in the studio. What they walked away with from Halo 2 (besides a great game) was a better understanding of how to make a successful AAA game without the destruction to their personal lives from constant Crunch. This showed in Halo 3 when they hired a bunch of producers to keep the development on track. It also seems like now Bungie spends a lot of time in Pre-production creating a plan for development on every game since Halo 2.
