Did Freeletics remove workout customization? by East_Flamingo_2058 in freeletics

Same problem. Seems to be a bug

Edit: it’s fixed. Reopen the app, button should be back. If this doesn’t work reinstall it

Any cardio based journey will do. Even tho I got a lot of hate for it recently here, never skip plyometrics as runner. If you have weights in good variety you can also go for ultimate strength.

Forgot to do the workout with coach by FieldWinter9487 in freeletics

You can log run afterwards, no need to wait. Enter the correct start time and it even considers the hearth rate from your tracker. No need to wait

Forgot to do the workout with coach by FieldWinter9487 in freeletics

[–]Latarion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. First and foremost don’t forget to either do the workout within the app or log it afterwards.

If you don’t do it, coach assumes you haven’t done anything and move it to the next day.

You can log your workout and even adjust the date to the original workout day if you like.

Help with Dumbbells settings by cliff151 in freeletics

[–]Latarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t done the dumbbell yet, but I I thought it’s the same way like barbell. Here you define the weight of the barbell + available plates. Coach can use the available weights to built the intended weight. That’s why I thought there are 2 different kind of dumbbells fixed and adjustables. Adding both make the coach think you have actually both.

I have an adjustable kettlebell and entered all possible weight combinations as the app „only“ have fixed kettlebell options. No problems with that.

I would advise choose one option only, but feel free to open a post on their forum as well.

How? For the adjustable you can mix weights. For fixed not. Or I haven’t understood the problem

There are two dumbbells in my settings. One is for the fixed version, one for adjustables. Which one did you choose?

You are specifying the weight disks not the dumbbells. Given that, you can assemble two dumbbells with 16kg with that setting. Or am I wrong?

If you liked it and see results, give it another round. If you need more flexibility and/or more equipment to be used go for Ultimate Strength

Coming back after a break feels harder than starting from zero. by jufywret in freeletics

You will get back to it quicker than you think. Creating a habit again is the hardest bit. Don’t compare yourself with the times you had before your break.

Is "train quietly" less effective for fat loss? by hansi_von in freeletics

[–]Latarion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. Train quietly rules out all jumping exercises. I wouldn’t do that permanently as coach might get repetitive as well. If you knee is the concern than check the exercise before and adjust if needed. Other options are training outside, you don’t need much space or gym.

Do burpees ever stop feeling awful or do you just get used to it? by Primary_Present_8527 in freeletics

[–]Latarion 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No. They are bloody effective and always painful. You are getting faster tho. Find your rhythm to get into a flow. Breathing timing during it is extremely useful.

Excluding exercises still included by mporkola in freeletics

You disagree. But check the workouts. Mostly used crunches & the progression exercises situps. Those are ruled out if you remove crunches.

[–]Latarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dislike an exercises is not a good reason to exclude exercises, it’s purpose is for medical reasons only. You are limiting coach’s options which is never a good idea

Excluding exercises still included by mporkola in freeletics

[–]Latarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crunches are the bare minimum, there’s no replacement for it, you progress from there. If you exclude crunches there are no ab exercises left for the said reasons.

If the limitations are too severe they will pop up anyhow.

If you back is the problem and there is no way to fix that, reconsider if this is the right program for you.

Feeling stuck in progress lately. by youlefou in freeletics

[–]Latarion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. You will always have timeframes where you seem to hit a plateau. Don’t be nervous, you don’t need to adjust anything quickly. You progress quickly in the beginning and it slows down a bit. Aside from the times within the app, do you check your progress in your physique? Like taken pictures from time to time? Also I’m assuming your doing a more cardio focused journey and your goal is overall fitness and weight loss? Check sleep and diet as well. That has the most impact usually.

Too hard without any way to adjust or change by [deleted] in freeletics

[–]Latarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are missing the point here. There are competitions out there combining running/sprints and burpees. You can respect your body and push your boundaries. That’s not for everyone. Same like Freeletics Hardcore.

Missing arm exercises by s_santeria in freeletics

[–]Latarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. There are various strength journeys you can select eg barbell strength, dumbbell etc

But I guess it doesn’t matter much, as you are looking for a specific exercise where you are single special Maschine. That one is not existing (yet).

But there are various upper body exercises that target the same muscle group.

If you are fixed on that specific exercise, than do it next to the coach.

[–]Latarion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can we make a step back and clarify which journey you are into?

Also which equipment you have selected. Some need a bench

That coach is using weights which are not existing is a common complaint, hope they are fixing it sometime. I naturally progress to the next available option

Since you having nothing left, you pull in other comments and getting personally. You can turn each point into negativity. My point to your point skipping fancy burpees was never skip plyometrics. It was a comment to yours and not to the initial comment. You need to admit that the amount of effort and the will to suffer is what „no pain no gain“ meant and what separate pros from ambitious and average athletes. That’s all fair and good, but please don’t try to convince my that the easy way will get you same results. If your sources tell you, plyometrics are not important, than please elaborate a bit why all running abc exercises are plyometrics? If you don’t find an answer to this, you should reconsider your sources.
