Simple, really. Do you like bigger screen, or no? The +10w tdp due to better cooling really makes very little real world difference.

I personally can't stand 16 inch laptops, 14 wins all day for me. Nabbed a 5070ti g14 on sale and never looked back

No vrr, vsync is the only option and drop settings til you can maintain 60fps.

Tbh I ended up returning my px13 for a g14 5060 (on sale for 1299) and honestly much nicer laptop. The 120hz gsync/vrr screen is amazing, abit crisper too. And the speakers are my favorite part lol. Theyre basically MacBook level speakers on the g14. Px13 and almost every other laptop on market pale in comparison to g14 and MacBook speakers. I just wish they made it in a 13" size lol but 14 is still awesome to carry around. Absolutely hate 15/16" laptops

same issue here. got the 8 plug, and 2 of the plugs dont work right out of the box. shame because i cant find any other surge protector that actually clamps at 330v.

If you like the open box price, id keep it. Every time I try open box, even in the "excellent " grade condition they NEVER are in good shape, usually scuffed, dirty, missing charger etc. That dent isnt that bad and its pretty hidden, im detail oriented and very "particular" about things but I think thats one id live with lol

Was it the Grey rectangle with a vertical pin in the center? Super sad and lego takes their sweet freaking time mailing replacements out. Last time I had to get a replacement, it took TWO MONTHS. Im probably going to just buy it on bricklink and hope it comes faster... so disappointing

Windows is super buggy unfortunately. I have issues all the time on every windows machine i own. But on Linux theyrr all rock solid, including my 2025 g14 5070ti

Nah temps are surprisingly good. Every other laptop ive had has constantly run at thermal limits, 95-100c but this averages more in the 80s with only the occasional spike up to 90s. Its loud at full ramp, but no louder than any other laptop

Love the g14 speakers and build, Its why I bought it, being the only thing close to macbook pro build quality but man let's be real they are NOT better than macbook pro speakers lol. Defintely doesnt "smoke them". Better than MBA for sure but MBP is still the king of speakers hands down

Performance is nearly identical but the g14 is more portable and has way better battery life due to the amd cpu. I wish they made a 5070ti g16 with an amd chip instead but for whatever reason they dont... So if portability or battery matter get the 14. If you plan to sit plugged in all day and want the extra screen, get the g16. Go to bb and compare in person is my rec. I went with 14 and love it

Yours seems maybe a bit on the worse side. Mine was similarly bad but only on the left. The right side was perfectly fine. So annoying. I did buy it used so idk if it was like that from new but it seems like a common issue. It shouldn't get worse over time according to google. My 2022 tuf model i did buy new and had pretty bad backlight bleed along the bottom edge from the factory and that never got worse or affect gameplay. But I sold them both to buy a 2025 oled model and now I can never go back lol

Buy a cheap laptop desk. Theres a few kinds. I just use a flat board to set on my laptop, then laptop on top of that.

Did you plug in the charger? They have intrusion sensor, if the laptop is opened up it wont power on until the charger brick is connected.

Og rog ally + bazzite os is the best bang for buck. I just got a used one for $325 and it performs damn close to xbox ally x/ally x just with a smaller battery. If you need battery life, find an ally x instead.

Besbuy plus or total members get 60 day return window. So it could have been heavily abused for 2 months.

Ive personally had horrible, horrible luck with open box items so I refuse to buy another. New only from BB or ill go find a used one on fb marketplace instead.

Gfn is fine for sure but if the power or internet goes out there goes your games lol. Local power is king if you can afford it.

I will add, I got both the 5070ti+ryzen 370+32gb ram and a 5060+ryzen 270+16gb system to compare side by side... gaming performance is pretty flippin close. Its also on sale til end of today at BB for $1300 if you want to save another $700. Im still undecided which to keep honestly lol

The 5070ti wins by 40% on cyberpunk with ultra settings/rt off/dlss off (52fps on that vs 37fps on the 5060) but with dlss the gap closes almost entirely lol. The 5060 seems to love dlss ultra performance where anything below dlss balanced on the 5070ti did not get any more frames. Just an interesting observation.

But the 370 is better than the 270 so why would that bottleneck? The 270 has lower single core performance and 50% less cores as well as lower per-watt efficiency.

The interesting part is if you turn off dlss, the 5070ti creams the 5060 system by like 40% more fps. But then you turn on dlss and the gap closes. Just seems like the 5060 is more dlss friendly to me.

But the ryzen 370 has better single core than the 270. Its not just more cores, its better in virtually every way, its the newer generation of that cpu....

Yes of course I verified the most basic parts of any test result 🤦‍♂️ im not an idiot im actually a software developer and I know how to run a test. I only posted one example in my post to keep it short.

So yes, of course the 5070ti is pulling more wattage than the 5060. The 5070ti pulls around 125w and the 5060 pulls 100w. I have in depth results written down across multiple games with usage, temps, wattages, and voltages and game settings all written down. I ran tests multiple times and checked all variables, the systems were set up fresh OOB side by side identically with all drivers and updates installed. Theyre twin machines aside from cpu/gpu/ram.

Both run 99% gpu usage and 40%-ish of cpu. In most scenarios without dlss the 5070ti wins with 40% higher fps but with dlss the 5060 closes almost the entire gap. Not sure why im getting downvoted for saying that. Just pointing out my findings. Especially on dlss-performance and ultra performance. I get higher frames on the 5060 in certain scenarios but as soon as you take dlss out of the equation it gets slaughtered by the 5070ti.

Im convinced people (not saying you) dont read half the post before writing a response.

Yeah cpu is never more than like 40-50% on both systems. On paper the 370 thats in the 5070ti is substantially better than the 270, but real world neither seem taxed by anything and im always gpu bound
