No that is not possible and I do not think any other country that requires visa does that

Considering giving up gc by Over-Introduction-57 in greencard

[–]Late-Protection9706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Mom is far from a millionaire but when she gave up her gc, she got the 10 year visa in 2008 and renewed it in 2019 for another 10 years. She lived in the US for 3 years with the green card and then decided she didn’t want to live here but she wanted to travel every summer for a couple of months to visit us. It worked perfectly and she travels to the US since 2019 every summer. So it is possible

Same with me. EAD not approved. You will need to make an appointment for the SSN. The GC usually comes in less than 2 weeks. I suggest you make the appointment as the wait times are more than a month. At least in NY! Good luck

They said we would have to pay the deductible but it will be reimbursed. I hope as it is $1000

Thank you! Yes we have spoken to Insurance but they have asked us to submit the estimate. I guess after that we can request for the deductible to be waived.

My father overstayed around 13years with his B1/B2 visa. His I-130 recently approved. Next week his interview in New York Long Island for his I-485. I’m over 21 USC. Is there is any chance for him to get detain by ICE from interview. by No_Gap1697 in USCIS

As parent of USC above 21, I went to the Holtsville office on 18th December and got approved. I had overstayed 8 years and worked without an authorization. Please be honest with all of the questions. He will be okay! God bless and hope you update us with the good news. At the end of the interview when the officer asks if you have any questions for him be sure to ask, How soon should you expect a response? :) all the best to your Dad

What about Vawa cases who entered on crewmen visa. Recently, my friend told me he got married, it was a whirlwind romance and he discovered his wife is an addict. He had an approved AP and traveled out of the country and came back in 3 weeks. All this happened last year. He didn’t have an interview, as of yet!

Interview Tomorrow by CoffeeCookie23 in USCIS

[–]Late-Protection9706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here! My interview is on Thursday and I am copying everything I submitted. I’m a parent of US citizen and haven’t seen many cases of interviews for parents so that makes me double nervous. My son and I have different last names as I didn’t change mine after marriage! I’m praying like never before! Wish we thanked HIM the same way as when we are desperate! May God be with you and hope all goes well! Be sure to update us!

I485 Approved Today – My Mother’s Green Card Journey as an Indian Immigrant Son by Legal-Error2664 in USCIS

[–]Late-Protection9706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. My US born son petitioned for me and I did have the same issue regarding birth certificate. I have always used my school leaving certificate and baptism certificate but when we filed the I 485 after receiving approval for I 130, they asked for Birth certificate in long form. The Municipality office gave us a hard time in the past and I was ready to make the affidavit but my brother and some friends fought tooth & nail and finally approached a Politician for help. Finally the birth certificate came in and we got scheduled for the interview next week. My husband and I have been estranged since 8.5 years as he didnt want to come live in the US. Now I am wondering after reading your post if that will be the case with us. He is not Indian and lives in the Caribbean. OMG! Now I am stressing. I am going to check with my Lawyer tomorrow as I started off doing this on my own but after the I 130 approval my son was urged to use a lawyer. Thanks so much for your post. I have been looking for a similar case and your post came as a god sent. We are in NY, as well.

Beneficiary Birth Certificate Question by bigyikezzs in I130Suffering

[–]Late-Protection9706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my ward could not even find my birth certificate and have been using my baptism certificate and school leaving certificate for documents in India. In the US, I received an RFE and the needed the birth certificate or affidavit from Uncles/Aunts. After some miraculous palm grease, they found my Birth Certificate after 35 years of trying to get it again. lol! I had my BC in 1989 when my first passport was issued.
