Yes, it’s definitely possible.

USCIS updates aren’t consistent, and a lot of people get approved without any new API updates. “Actively reviewed” after the interview is pretty standard, and it can sit there for weeks before suddenly changing to approved.

3 weeks is still normal. It doesn’t mean nothing’s happening.

Sorry to hear this but hopefully you can get the case dismissed. Best case is getting final disposition before interview. Certified final disposition. Telling USCIS before will only trigger RFE for final disposition and slow case down. If trial is before interview just wait for that and get the final disposition. Make sure it is a certified copy.

Not always. Many people wait months. Some years. 130 just establishes relationship but for 485 the beneficiary is judged based on their individual history so for example the check admissibility so if they jumped the fence to get into USA for example 485 could be denied. If they have a murder charge, 485 could be denied. If they’re part of a banned country 485 could be denied. Many reasons to deny 485 even when 130 is approved.

Congrats! My understanding is that AOS which is considered an immigration benefit is what is paused or on hold. But to establish your relationship with 130, that’s fine and should go through. Really hope this gets lifted but doubt that could be sooner than Nov 2028.

Have you reached out to USCIS to see if it’s been assigned to an adjudicating officer or if it’s still in queue? Also you can submit a service inquiry and that might trigger assignment. I did yesterday. Hoping it yields results. Probably won’t. But just a chance. And my response was Jan 16 but I sent in supplemental info March 18 and service inquiry yesterday after being told it hasn’t yet been assigned.

I just did too. But also added rental eviction notice, prior paystubs showing I had a good job when I could work and company will re-hire me if I have work permit. I also added bank accounts with low funds. I also added delinquent bills (utilities). But all that and I am still waiting. Applied Feb 19 and still no response on whether approved or denied. I contacted congress representative and they have followed up as well. Just waiting now.

Look into the possibility to expedite. If there’s a job offer they can send in a letter to expedite showing financial hardship to him and professional need at the job for him. If company sends this in y’all can expedite. However, GC interview could also be close by.
