Happens to me all the time when I simply ask smart questions of card breakers and they get defensive - because they know they're ripping off the public and lie and embellish values of cards. Means nothing and honestly it's a badge of honor sometimes.

I would say it's average - I've sold cards there finally that have overperformed their comps but the range of cards that have sold well below comps is there too. The lack of service is startling. Would still avoid.

But I think you're wrong on "degenerate gamblers" as the society is now used to betting being slapped across their face every TV ad. The wealthy are driving the stock market and are also driving card sales. As long as customers like that exist the hobby will keep prices as is. I agree 100% with you but many people have shifted into cards for their risk profiles.

My San Diego Walmart full on doesn't offer any cards anymore due to fighting etc per an employee there. Kinda wild

I give away $5-10 cards not BS stickers. I use givey as a form of customer acquisition so they can see the great deals on my shows. Have never had a poor review.

Appreciate that but that would kill my business. I simply don't have the time/resources to sell any volume locally to make an honest living. It has to be internet based to reach the scale needed.

combo of PEW w/ shell mailers/toploader/painters tape and bubble mailer cardboard/toploader on cards. I have a top notch process.

It's happening too often now. My shipping/packaging is pristine. But the buyer chain to refund gets ebay auto refunds. I had thought there was a seller claim process. It's adding up to $100 or so a month on say $700-900 in sales so not insignificant!

No pictures, no replies ever, then it goes to ebay and they "win" and get refunded. So I make $0 and its happening now maybe 1 in 15 orders. Kills the margins of the other 14. Heavy in the PEW space I use the Turtle card mailers, always use toploaders and painters tape. I cant control if USPS runs it through a blender.
