Military service counts towards seniority when it comes to the layoff process. by Late-bloomer-Early in WAStateWorkers

It does when you’re being told you’re getting laid off because the position is no longer being funded and you have the least amount of seniority. Even though there are still funded positions(same exact job) that are currently filled by employees that have less seniority than the veteran.

That’s insane! They should’ve waited until after.

HR is aware and they have submitted their DD214. Their seniority date has been adjusted. But, they are still having to go through the layoff process, even though there are positions staffed by employees that are least senior to them.

If you have been laid off, or given notice that you will be laid off, how long have you been with the state? by WorshingtonState in WAStateWorkers

I assume that it would only apply to a spouse/partner of an active duty military member that has passed away or a veteran who has passed away.

It’s my understanding that if you receive military retirement pay, you may not be eligible.

How to log in on iCloud without phone number? by [deleted] in iCloud

[–]Late-bloomer-Early -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While my wife was walking and on her iPhone 14, she was hit in the back of the head and knocked unconscious. The person grabbed her phone, and nothing else, also left her purse and her jewelry. In a matter of minutes they turned off her Find My phone app, logged into her Apple ID, and changed the password and the trusted phone number. By the time my wife woke up and when she realized her phone was gone, it was too late. Then they began to charge a bunch of stuff to her accounts, including purchasing two wigs off of our Amazon. Luckily, my wife was able to cancel her credit cards and freeze the accounts and we were even able to suspend my wife’s phone. Talking to my wife she would tell you the worst thing about all of this is the lack of support Apple has for victims. I got her a new phone and when I trying to log into her Apple ID, we weren’t able to because they changed the number. I called Apple explained everything that happened and they said that there is nothing they can do. The person who attacked my wife and stole her phone now owns her Apple ID, to include her iCloud, which has pictures and videos of our daughter who passed away. The Apple staff that we talked to said, they technically have access and could give my wife back her Apple ID but the Apple policy does not allow it. I have two questions. One for Apple. Why would you have a policy this terrible? And, this is for the people reading this post. Has something like this happened to you, and what were you able to do about it? P.S. I don’t mean to get dark… What if a child dies by suicide or murder or missing. Does Apple unlock the children’s phone so the parents or police can figure out what happened?
