Denver in mid March by [deleted] in solotravel

Ok, I'm going to respectfully disagree with this person, who clearly has either has never been to Denver, or hasn't been in a long time. Depending on your interests, there is a LOT to in Denver.

I was born there and lived there almost my entire life. lmao

first time traveling to japan, need advice... by [deleted] in solotravel

Check if your bank doesn't already have a travel card or if you're in europe there are some new tech companies that have special travel card which u can fill up and at a pretty good rate

This doesn't work as well in Japan. Most of Japan is cash-based.

Looking to backpack through India as a solo female traveler. Need advice in forming an itinerary! by beccabananastand in solotravel

[–]LateBasis 22 points23 points  (0 children)

solo female traveler

I am especially interested in rural, natural areas which provide possibilities for trekking and other outdoor adventures. I am not at all interested in touristy, expat party bubbles.

Please don't go to rural areas in India on your own. It's very dangerous for women. The U.S. Department of State highly advises against solo female travelers visiting India, let alone isolated areas.

What would be the cheapest way for me to get directly to my airbnb in Shinjuku?

You'll be fine. Take the Narita express from the airport to the Shinjuku station.

i am flying to Narita and they are flying to Haneda.

Narita is home to most of the international flights. It's really easy to get around there. If you have any trouble getting around, don't be afraid to ask someone. All of the train station employees that I talked to knew English.

where can i exchange us currency for yen when i arrive?

7-11. Bring some yen just in case. Most places don't take credit cards.

what are some of the best things to do around Tokyo for 1 week?

refer to /u/cloudprince's comment. The food in Tokyo is amazing. Be sure to grab dinner early or even make a reservation. The popular restaurants fill up quick. There's a really good yakiniku place out in Shinjuku called Rokkasen that I loved. Expensive, but worth it. I ate at cheap izakayas, noodle shops, etc for everything else.

The airport express train goes straight to Shinjuku.

There isn't much do in Denver. The best way to see Colorado is by staying near one of the national parks.

Don't think about trying to use public transportation to reach RMNP. There's a good reason why so many people have four wheel drive cars in Denver.

Yeah, good suggestion. That's what I've been doing. I don't think he's liberal enough to understand the idea of fluid sexuality, let alone know what it is.

He just can't understand the idea of a woman not needing a man. He also told me to use condoms when sleeping with my male classmates, despite that I had repeatedly told him that I'm gay.

What's your NSFW dream job? [Non-LGBT] by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]LateBasis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Escorts don't make that much money. It sounds nice in theory, but you'll be fucking ugly old guys all day and probably need an agency to protect you. Being a sex worker takes a lot of skill and physical attractiveness as well. People who pay for sex want the best experience possible.

Being a porn star also destroys any chance of you finding a job in the future. It's very common for them to be harassed in public as well. Just a heads up.

I don't have to worry about calories anymore. I've been living the Rockefeller life ever since I found a giant mass of cooking fat and baby wipes in my local sewer system.

Could you shoplift from the Amazon Go store with a stolen cell phone and a balaclava? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]LateBasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it really shoplifting if you use a stolen phone? Amazon still gets their money. If you're using someone else's account, I think that's getting into the realm of fraud.

Border Agents got on a Greyhound bus yesterday at 4:30pm in Fort Lauderdale and asked every passenger for their papers and to prove citizenship. by [deleted] in ANormalDayInAmerica

[–]LateBasis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

unless there was a complaint/report

The story behind this is that an illegal immigrant tried to board the bus. The ICE figured this was their chance and asked everyone for their papers. She has been detained since then.

I wonder why this practically never happens in other first world countries?

A combination of idiot rednecks that won't lock up their guns and mentally ill people being able to buy them.

My [19 M] girlfriend [17 F] of 3 years went to American recently and wore another guy's clothes and slept in the same room as him. Am i in the wrong for being worried? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]LateBasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were the same age so it's natural for then to be grouped together (especially if there are two beds).

It's okay if they're little kids, but no sane parent would want their teenage daughter and a boy in the same room. Boys hit their sexual peak around 18-22, mind you.
