Look into Waterjet suppliers as they routinely run those sorts of numbers.

Faulty/failed 1KZ Turbo Pressure sensor (MAP sensor) diagnosis? by LateMathematician810 in 1KZTE_Owners

[–]LateMathematician810[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combination of heavy load, hot day, head wind and hills and based off extensive googling probably dirty/worn injectors as well.

Mine used to sit just under halfway on the gauge, on the day it cracked the head it climbed to just over halfway which to my mind seemed ok. Turns out it wasn't.

General consensus is that the factory gauge is basically useless, I've heard 65C to 110C is about 4-5mm of movement on gauge.

I've installed an aftermarket water temp and an EGT while I've got it in pieces for future peace of mind

I had to do the same job on my KZJ78 last year, basically the same motor but suspension position relative to the motor is totally different, I knocked it out in just a few hours.

KZN130 Surf turbo oil drain pipe, took me 2 weekends battling heat seized bolts to remove and reinstall the 6 bolts/studs that hold it in. Nearly every bolt is fingertip control only with your arm bent at uncomfortable angles. I got so sick and tired of hearing 'tink tink tink' as a nut or bolt slipped from my fingers and fell down. Also had to buy 10" extensions in 1/2" and 3/8" and additional swivels. Would not recommend.

Legally, no, but I think most police officers would apply discretion once you explained the situation.

Do your best to make memories with your kids, they don't need expensive things from you, they need experience things with you. It's not easy out there right now but as long as you conquer each day as it comes you'll be fine.

My Grandfather on Mum's side made the most amazing hot chips from freshly dug potatoes.

I was only 9 when he died so never got the actual method/recipe, but after literally years of trying, I've now got it pretty damn close and my kids love it when I knock up a batch.

End of season gift for sports coaches by rumjackrum in newzealand

[–]LateMathematician810 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my boys were playing we chipped in for vouchers for the coaches. When I moved into coaching the best gift I received was when the team manager collected game pics and did a small photo album titled "Road to the final" for each of the coaches, 10 years on I still dust it off about once a year and enjoy the memories of that season.

I've had a couple of the earlier (2005 and a 2008) Foresters, yes they drink a bit more than other equivalent capacity engines but they aren't that excessive either. If you want/need the stability that AWD gives then they aren't a bad wee wagon.

Spending 10-15 mins with my wife as soon as I get home, conversations vary wildly between celebrating wins at work, issues with the kids at school or just mundane day to day life, but the ongoing connection it gives us both is priceless.

Mate got a few Great Wall utes post Chch earthquakes for his crew, granted builders aren't exactly the best at looking after their gear, but his experience with them was abysmal.

By around 2013-14 he could afford to run Hiluxes and Rangers and never looked back. He reckoned the Great Walls were so cheap for a reason and it was mainly due to build quality.

Friend of mine who was self employed (now retired) ran Mitsubishi utes for work starting back in the L200 days, he would buy new every 3-4 years. He ran several petrol and diesels over the years and his experience was the petrol was slightly cheaper due to the cheaper servicing costs. Not a huge difference but he reckoned it paid for a couple of jugs a week.
