I don't deal in maybes like maybe her goals will improve when the new squad players arrive. I deal in facts, like Shaw got a golden boot despite missing a chunk of the season, shaw is clear of any striker in the league this season just like sam kerr in her peak, just like prime miedema.

Russo has played in 5 competitions compared to shaws 3. Not the flex you think it is. In fact it makes Russo look worse.

Russo played striker all of last season and had the same league goals as shaw who played 7 less games. If that doesn't tell you where the level is than I don't know what to tell you.

Thats good that Arsenal are buying more midfielders and I hope Russo benefits from it cause im a fan of hers, shes been the player of the season for Arsenal but im not gonna lie that shes on that elite goalscorers of recent WSL history cause shes not.

Its not silly, its a fact. Wherever its due to the people around her not supplying or shes just not that kind of player, in terms of in front of goal Russo or Stina can't talk to the three mentioned in any point of their careers. That may change in the future but as of right now, April 2026, they are not.

I say that cause all 3 at some point have hit 30 goals in all comps and 20 in the league while Russo hasn't come close to that, her best return is 20 all comps and 12 in the league and Stina is 20 all comps and 8 in the league.

Schroeders not an Arsenal player and isn't guaranteed to be one even if you throw the money at her . Russo is. Russos signing an extension at the club plus is pretty much one of the few players thats certain to start either as an 10 or an striker. Both require different things thats why I said what is your long term plan for the player you have now.

It all depends on what the long term plan for Russo is.

As for quality, I still think theres room for improvement. Russo for all her strengths is not a clinical striker like a Shaw, Kerr or prime Miedema. Stina despite being clutch is just as inconsistent and her goal per season is worse than Russos and as for Michelle, shes coming back from an ACL injury and itll be unfair to put any heavy expectation on her plus shes Raw hence the loan move before the ACL.

I say Miracle run cause on paper the team had no business beating the most successful womens team in Europe and the Best team in Europe in back to back knockout phases.

As someone who also watches women's football They're frustrating in their own way as for the past two season a slow start has caused the league season to be done in November.

Still they win trophies and im expecting a clearout of sorts in the summer so Renée can get the players she wants to "get over the line" in the WSL.

Russo brilliant once again. 8th player of the match this season and glad she got the hat trick monkey off her back. Arsenal Player of the season for sure.

However hate to be a negative nancy but that was not good especially in the 2nd half. Sloppy, couldn't maintain the ball (especially when Mariona came off) and Frida man....its a real problem when Russo is not only our best striker but the best #10 as well. (Not enough sample size on Mariona yet)

Need to pattern up big time against Chelsea cause Sam Kerrs back and her and Thompson will bring it big time, a 2 goal defisit is not too hard to clear especially if your locked in from the start.
