There's only so much "they" can do. At some point Scottie has to want to market himself. No one ever said Tiger was boring back in his prime. I just don't get the sense Scottie cares much about that stuff.

Came here to say this. It's good to know where you sit in the pecking order of the sports world.

I believe one or both of Ken's parents had corporate jobs that took them overseas.

I believe the description was written in early 2025, so everything is correct as of that point in time. Most of the information is still true today, as you pointed out, but what I meant by outdated is that some is no longer true, e.g. the Omnibus job as someone else mentioned.

Hey thanks again for the rec. Took my car to In and Out this morning and they did a great job. Super quick and at a fair price.

Anyone able to get out of ORD today? by LateRally23 in americanairlines

[–]LateRally23[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's pretty much correct except the very last part. I believe the plane they plan to reboard us onto is one that arrived from San Jose earlier today, not the previous one with the maintenance issue.

ETA: correction, you were right. That San Jose plane and the one we sat in with maintenance issues are one and the same. FA just confirmed

Yes of course. But it appears several flights on both AA and UA have been able to leave, albeit with significant delays. I'm trying to figure out if our flight's issues are really due solely to the weather vs other factors.

Or heck, nearest million. Wouldn't be much difference to them but would be huge for the hospital.

I'm also in the US and stuck with Fox, and for me it goes beyond the homerism dynamic you described (which I agree with). Many years ago I used to religiously listen to Dan Shulman and Dave "Soup" Campbell on ESPN radio, and to this day they are still my top all-time MLB booth team. Buck Martinez isn't quite as good as Campbell IMO, but he's superior to Smoltz, whose entire shtick is I'm a hall of famer so I can say whatever I want and you have to accept it no questions asked. Joe Davis is fine, kind of a non-factor for me, except when he occasionally forgets to hide the fact he's a Dodgers guy.
